Too Late To Love Me I Already Left With His Twins (Lydia and Dave) novel Chapter 300

Lydia POV

After the kids walked in on me in Dave’s room, and then asked, “Are we back together?” and Dave, with absolutely no hesitation, said, “Oh yeah, we’re back together,” and all of that, it was noon already.

And honestly, I was overwhelmed.

Not in a bad way. In a good way.

A very, very good way.

But still overwhelming.

So I was like, Okay, I need to do something important.

I think I need a walk.

Actually, no. I need to run.

I needed to get out of the house for a little while and just breathe because everything that had happened felt like too much to process all at once. Dave. The kids. Us being back together. Everything I had remembered. Everything I had forgotten and then somehow found my way back to.

So, yeah.

I needed to run.

And that’s when I realized that I had actually not been taking my fitness life seriously since all this whole memory-loss thingy here.

I mean, who could blame me?

I had bigger things to worry about.

But now that my life was slowly beginning to feel like mine again, I couldn’t keep neglecting myself.

As I was in the bathroom freshening up, I heard my phone ringing.

I paused.

Who’s calling me?

Because Anna told me they gave me three months’ break from work.

So I’m like, Okay, I guess I still have two months remaining.

Which meant I had absolutely no idea who was calling me.

Anyways, I was in my bathroom, singing Too Much of a Good Thing by Ashley Kutcher.

There are two artists that I absolutely love: Fola, which was the artist Anna was playing when we were on our suicidal drive and then Ashley Kutcher.

Ashley Kutcher sings so well, and it’s so unbelievable because this babe says the song that actually brought her into the limelight, Love You From a Distance, didn’t come from an heartbreak.

She was sitting on the bathroom floor and the inspiration came for the song.

And I’m like, Wow.

Though a part of me still believes she’s lying because nah.

Nah, nah, nah, nah.

I don’t want to believe she wrote that song when she’s not broken, really, though.

Like, there’s an entire album. There are a lot of heartbreak songs.

But then that’s that.

I finished up in the bathroom, wrapped myself in my towel, and went to my room. I picked up my phone and finally checked who had been calling.

It was Anna.

This girl.

I’m sure she wants to ask about my well-being and obviously her brother too.

He might have told her about, like, everything that happened here earlier, you know.

I already told her I was going to pick Dave, so she definitely knew who I was going to pick.

Maybe her brother wasn’t taking it well.

I rolled my eyes.

“Anna, calm down. I just took my bath. So what’s making you blind from my glow? Please, please. And why were you typing? You stopped recording a voice message, and now you called me. Anna, please, what is the gossip?”

And then I paused.

“Oh wait, is this about Theo? Like, me not choosing Theo?”

She immediately reacted.

“Hey girl, please. That’s my brother’s business. It’s not my business, like, whatever. He hasn’t told me that he was rejected. I only know because, you know, you told me that it’s Dave that you want, and obviously you’re gonna have to say no to my brother because even a blind man can see my brother likes you with the way he’s really pursuing you.”

I nodded slowly.

“You know he doesn’t really tell me about his failed romantic pursuits, he only tells me after he has healed from it.” she added.

I listened, quietly.

And honestly, maybe that was for the best.

Anyways, Anna continued.

“The reason why I called you is not because of my Theo, like what made you think so.”

She paused.

Then she smiled.

“I’m calling to ask about the gist of what happened after he confessed to Dave.”

I blinked.

And just like that, I knew exactly where this conversation was going.

Anna wasn’t calling about Theo.

She wanted the gist.
