Chapter 9
I let out a cold laugh:
“Takes one to know one. Isn’t that exactly what you did to me?”
Bianca was just the most trivial excuse.
Vincent’s fear of me–that was the real reason.
“These people, or their loved ones, were all my cellmates once. Framed by their own siblings and thrown into that
hellhole.”
“Just like what you did to me, they were deliberately targeted. I helped them grow strong, so they wouldn’t have to suffer anymore. That’s why they’re loyal to me.”
“How does it feel to be stabbed in the back by someone you trusted? You brought this on yourself. What do you think
would happen if I handed all this evidence over?”
Vincent stayed silent for a long time, then suddenly dropped to his knees:
“Lindsay, I was wrong. Give me one chance–I can’t go to prison, can’t lose the funding, can’t lose the company.”
“^ll, that depends on what Mr. Foster chooses–the beauty or the business. Oh, I understand your hesitation. I don’t
make things difficult for Miss Rose either. How about we let her go?”
Vincent slowly stood up and looked at Bianca:
“Bianca, I’m sorry.”
Bianca’s eyes widened in terror:
“Vincent, what do you mean?!”
The next second, Vincent pulled out a knife and cut the rope holding her.
Bianca plummeted into the tank.
The smell of her blood immediately attracted the medium–sized sharks. One bit clean through her leg.
Bianca desperately tried to climb out, but Vincent shoved her back down:
“Bianca, don’t you love me? If you love me, you should sacrifice yourself for my future! I fought so hard to get where I am–I can’t lose everything!”

Chapter 9
“Don’t worry, I’ll burn offerings for you. Consider it… penance for what you did to Lindsay.”
I rested my chin on my hand, watching Bianca:
“Looks like you weren’t loved either, little homewrecker.”
Bianca screamed, clinging desperately to his hand, cursing:
“Vincent Foster, you bastard! I’ll haunt you even as a ghost!”
Because Bianca wouldn’t let go, Vincent lost an arm.
He watched coldly as the sharks tore her apart:
“Being haunted beats having nothing.”
In Vincent’s heart, nothing mattered more than his ambition and interests.
I learned that lesson three years ago.
Too bad Bianca learned it too late.
“Lindsay, I can return all the money I transferred. Now you can let me go, right?”
“Of course. I won’t turn this evidence in. I’ll fix all the damage you caused, these people won’t pull their investments, and the company will thrive.”
Before Vincent could breathe a sigh of relief, I waved my phone at him:
“Because the company won’t have you in it anymore.”
The video on my screen froze on the moment Vincent cut the rope.
“Premeditated murder, Mr. Foster. Think you’ll ever see daylight again? Oh right, I forgot to mention–we were in
international waters before, but the moment you walked toward Bianca, we entered U.S. territorial waters.”
Vincent’s head snapped up:
“What do you mean? You forced me to do it!”
“Oh? Did I?”
I hit play. My voice came through clearly with just one line:
“How about we let Miss Bianca go?”

Chapter 9
“See? I suggested you free her. You didn’t listen.”
“You cut the rope, you held Bianca underwater. What does any of that have to do with me?”
Vincent still wouldn’t give up:
“All these people saw what happened!”
He was pointing to the guests who weren’t my people.
