Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 352

As soon as he finished speaking, his eyes landed on the very last line of the report.

The room went utterly silent for a moment…

Suddenly, he shot up from his seat, his face full of shock as he stared at the paper. “What?”

“Sir?”

George hurried over, worried, reaching out to steady him.

Christian was frozen in place, his eyes glued to the words in front of him.

Parental relationship confirmed.

How could that be possible?

Christian looked up slowly, disbelief written in every deep line on his face. “George…”

“Sir?”

“Come here. Tell me I’m not seeing things.” He shoved the report into George’s hands.

George saw the look on his face and fumbled to open the document. The moment he caught sight of the result, he almost dropped it in shock.

After a beat, his expression changed to pure excitement. “Sir! You… you’re not mistaken! That boy is Mr. Grayson’s real son!”

It felt like something heavy had crashed right into Christian’s chest.

He slumped back onto the sofa, completely drained.

He made his way into his room, tossed his cane aside, and staggered over to a photo frame sitting on the table. He picked it up with both hands, tears filling his eyes.

The man in the black and white photo looked like he was in his forties, and his features were so similar to Julian’s…

Christian brought his rough fingers to the man’s face in the photo, voice cracking with grief. “Son, I almost destroyed Julian’s son. I almost destroyed your grandson…”

“How did things end up this way? All I wanted was for the family of the person who took you from me to feel the same pain I did, but in the end, I hurt my own family…”

“I let you down. I nearly lost your grandson. You must be watching from above, blaming me.”

“I’m sorry. I let you down. I let Julian down. I let that kid down. But I can’t help it… The anger inside me is too much. The person who hurt you got away, but you’re never coming back…”

He held the photograph close, tears streaming down his cheeks. He wiped them away, but they just kept coming, again and again, his heart aching so badly it felt like he could barely breathe.
