Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 740

Shelly glanced at them coolly, her final gaze hardening into something sharp and unforgiving. “If you want me to reconsider the divorce, fine. Send this mother and daughter away. Make sure they never appear before me again for the rest of my life.”

With that, Shelly turned and walked back inside without another look at them.

Jane wiped away her tears and said to Ray, “Ray, please don’t worry about us. We’ll leave on our own. We’ll move out of the villa tomorrow. But Alianna has fainted. Can we please just get her some help first?”

Ray frowned and hurried inside.

A venomous look flashed across Jane’s face. That bitch Shelly really thought she could just kick them out.

But they wouldn’t make it that easy for her.

When Jane went inside, Alianna had been moved to the sofa. Madeline was sitting beside her, holding a set of acupuncture needles.

Jane’s eyes widened in horror, and she lunged forward with a scream.

“What are you doing to Alianna with those needles? Madeline, I don’t care how much you hate her, you can’t just stab her with needles while she’s unconscious!”

Madeline looked at Jane calmly. “She’s fainted. I can wake her up. I’m treating her.”

“Treating her? Is that how you treat someone?” Jane shielded Alianna, her eyes full of suspicion.

Leaving aside whether Madeline even knew medicine…

Why would she be so kind?

Jane wasn’t a fool. Of course she didn’t believe it.

Madeline had to be up to something.

Madeline smiled faintly. “I know a bit of alternative medicine. Don’t worry, a few needles and she’ll be fine. It’s very effective.”

“We wouldn’t want to trouble you. We’ll leave this to the doctors.”

“My mother just moved here, we haven’t hired a family doctor yet. Right, Mom?”

Shelly saw what Madeline was doing and nodded in cooperation. “Yes. Fainting is a serious matter. Madeline knows medicine. You don’t really think she’d try to harm your daughter in front of all these people, do you?”

Jane tried to protest again. “This… wait… Madeline, are you sure?”

Madeline nodded with a sincere expression. “I’m sure. I’m not lying. Here I go.”

She held Alianna’s finger, ready to insert the needle.

Alianna’s whole body trembled, and Madeline could feel the hand in her grasp shaking and trying to pull back.

But Madeline wasn’t about to let her get away with it.

Jane knew Madeline was up to no good. A needle like that would kill Alianna with pain. Just as the tip was about to pierce the skin, Jane lunged forward in a panic. “Don’t…”

Madeline’s body swayed, and she fell gracefully to the side. Julian reached out and caught her.

Madeline looked at Julian, a mischievous glint in her eye.

“Ah, Julian, it hurts! It hurts so much! I was just trying to help Alianna. Why would Jane push me?”
