Project Riverside B-275 was the core project Sargent Group was currently negotiating with the city government.
In her past life, thanks to Yvonne's endless harassment, Amber had investigated everything down to her darkest family secrets.
She wanted to find something that could neutralize the woman's madness. Sharif had taught her that the corporate world was like a battlefield—knowing yourself and your enemy was the only way to guarantee victory.
Yvonne wanted her to backstab Sharif, to make him taste the agony of betrayal, only to mock him or force him into marrying her.
Because she had run out of time in her past life, Amber hadn't found the leverage to stop her. But things were different now. Yvonne hadn't yet reached the point of utter insanity where she would gamble her entire family's empire just to fight him.
She had only just returned from abroad, and out of frustration over him making a fool of her, she was throwing a tantrum after being forced into an engagement with Miles Yates.
"If I were to leak your company's exact bid for this project to your rivals—or to him—do you think your father would just ground you and forbid you from chasing him? Or would he exile you out of the country completely?"
Yvonne was stunned into silence.
"How do you know about this project? Did he tell you..."
"It doesn't matter how I know. All you need to know is whether you accept my trade or not." Amber stared at her with ice-cold eyes.
Yvonne's face went completely pale.
Joanne was right. He really did treat this girl differently. He even gave her the classified bid numbers!? No, impossible!! The board of directors was still deliberating on the exact figure, though her father already had a set price in mind.
There was no way Sharif could know the exact bid.
"You really are clever. But he should have also told you that absolutely no one in the company knows the final price yet. The proposal hasn't even been finalized. Trying to scare me with a bluff is a nice strategy, but you're a little out of your depth. If he was doing this himself, maybe I'd hesitate. But you..." Yvonne smiled wickedly, the chill in the penthouse suddenly feeling palpable. "You miscalculated."
"Who the hell do you think you are, trying to make a deal with me?" She clapped her hands twice, and her bodyguards and assistant filed into the room. "I didn't want to get rough, and I've tried playing nice. But my offer still stands. As long as you sign, you won't have to worry about a thing."
"Just be a good girl and sign the contract. Don't you want to study in peace? Sign it, and your exams will go smoothly."
