Two Reborn, One Throne novel Chapter 30

"That's a bold claim. And you're basing it on this so-called gift?"

Sharif didn't show an ounce of displeasure. On the contrary, his dark, bottomless eyes glinted with genuine appreciation.

This was exactly why he insisted on conducting these interviews himself. He was looking for someone precisely like this—a student who could bring him massive returns without sounding like they were just blowing smoke.

And this student—whose face was undeniably much prettier than her dreadful ID photo—standing there in a pink hoodie and a high ponytail, had eyes that practically blazed with ambition when discussing corporate funding.

This was the raw, unbridled energy a graduating senior was supposed to have.

This was exactly why Madison Group chose to sponsor high school graduates over college startups. The unjaded, ten-year vision of a brilliant eighteen-year-old possessed a raw drive that half-baked college kids, already battered by reality, simply couldn't match.

Whether someone succeeded or failed in life wasn't just about getting into a good college and picking a solid major. The truly visionary ones mapped out their entire future the moment they handed in their final exams.

Just like Amber.

Amber had just shown him a spectacularly bright future.

She wasn't exaggerating, nor was she putting on an act. She was using Madison Group's own internal metrics to prove her point. She was an exceptionally rare talent.

But...

Sharif had been her age once. He knew all too well how youthful ambition could clash violently with harsh reality. Most kids stepped into the real world and immediately found themselves lost, wandering, and helpless.

Sharif was curious to see just how many more surprises Amber had in store for him.

Amber seemed to know he was waiting for more.

She knew him far too well. So, before Sharif even had the chance to open the first folder, she produced a second. "Mr. Madison, please take a look at this. It's a comprehensive comparative analysis of Madison Group's investments and tech acquisitions over the past three years, along with a three-year strategic pivot plan tailored specifically for the conglomerate. If you feel these two files still aren't enough to prove my worth, I have one final gift for you."

Amber pulled out the last document, stacked all three perfectly, and handed them to Sharif with the utmost professional respect.

The elite executive team's eyes nearly popped out of their heads.

Was this level of insane preparation even physically possible for a high school student?

They all exchanged bewildered looks. Amber, entirely unbothered, waited as Sharif took the three files, then smoothly reached into her bag to hand out duplicate copies she had printed specifically for his executive team.

She was going to make absolutely certain they all understood exactly why she deserved this spot!

Sharif never could have imagined that out of all the applicants he had interviewed, Amber would be the only one to take his impossible prompt and hand him a flawless masterpiece of a response.

Every candidate before her had either babbled about their personal dreams or audaciously listed off resources they expected the company to provide. Not a single one had approached the table fully prioritizing the conglomerate's bottom line.
