Amara found Antonia entirely exasperating.
Antonia had absolutely no relationship with Keith, yet her one-sided obsession made her act as if she owned him. It was the only reason she felt entitled to speak to him with such audacity.
It was a classic symptom of being thoroughly spoiled by the Everly family, operating under the delusion that everything she wanted in the world automatically belonged to her.
"Alright, enough of the crazy act. Get out of here," Keith snapped.
He shooed Antonia away, stepping between her and Amara before turning to leave.
Antonia felt a crushing wave of despair. The image of Keith tenderly holding Amara's hand flashed in her mind, fueling her jealousy.
Refusing to back down, she blocked his path. "Why do you like Amara so much? She's pregnant! How can you like a woman carrying someone else's child?"
Keith's gaze turned icy. "What does her having a child have to do with my feelings? Why do you even care?"
Antonia bit her lip hard.
She couldn't exactly confess that she cared because she was in love with him.
Despite her feelings, she absolutely refused to be the one to confess. Over the years, she had never made the first move on anyone; she needed to manipulate Keith into chasing her. Stating her feelings out loud was off the table, leaving her awkwardly biting her lip, struggling for a comeback.
Seeing her silence, Keith lost the last of his patience. He crossed his arms and drawled, "I like Amara because I want to. I like that she has a strong personality, but is still genuine and kind. The kind of woman I absolutely despise is an arrogant, self-centered brat who thinks the world revolves around her."
"..."
Without another word, he walked off, leaving Antonia rooted to the spot in utter shock.
