Amara glanced at Elysia, a flicker of hesitation crossing her features.
Of course, she knew exactly how Finnian found out about the abortion. But the explanation involved Dorian, and she wasn't sure if she should bring him up.
Elysia instantly caught the unspoken words lingering on her lips. "Did something happen that I don't know about? Ama, spit it out."
Amara figured Elysia was bound to find out eventually anyway, so she might as well come clean.
She started, "A few days ago, Finnian showed up at my place completely wasted. I drove him home and helped him upstairs. That's when I bumped into Dorian at his place."
Hearing Dorian's name, Elysia scowled. "And?"
"And Dorian accidentally saw that I had booked a late-term abortion procedure," Amara admitted. "He threatened to tell Finnian about it. I'm guessing he's the one who snitched."
Elysia's eyes widened in shock. "So Dorian knew!"
Her face contorted into a snarl, her teeth gritted. "There's no 'guessing' about it! If he knew, it was a hundred percent him!"
"He's a complete animal. He's way worse than Finnian! What an absolute bastard! That jerk dragging his feet on our divorce is already driving me insane, and now he dares to mess with your life? No, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind!"
Elysia reached for her phone, fully intending to rip Dorian to shreds over a call.
Amara quickly grabbed her hand. "Ely, calm down. The damage is done. Screaming at him won't fix anything. We need a plan first."
She didn't want Elysia picking fights with Dorian over her problems.
What happened had happened. What good would starting a war with him do? It would only make Elysia more miserable.
