Kyle’s eyes flickered, a slight curve lifting the corner of his mouth.

He then turned to Arabella and began the introduction. “Ms. Hamilton, this is Lucas–one of our school’s top–rated, Grade–A certified flight instructors.

“He has extensive flight hours and excellent piloting skills. He’ll be taking over your training session today.”

“Huh?” Lucas was taken aback by Kyle’s abrupt delegation.

“I’ll leave them in your hands then, Lucas. I’ll be back once I’ve finished with the director,” Kyle said with a bright, relieved smile.

Without waiting for Lucas to agree, he strode quickly out of the office.

“Hey, wait–I didn’t agree to this…” Lucas called after Kyle’s retreating figure.

But there was no sign of Kyle in the doorway, and no answer came back.

“Well, then.” Lucas let out a helpless sigh, a wry smile touching his lips.

He then turned to Arabella and Naomi. “You’re both students here?”

“Yes. I’m Naomi, and this is my sister, Arabella,” Naomi introduced them first, her gaze resting on the handsome instructor.

Lucas glanced at Naomi, his expression neutral.

When his eyes landed on Arabella, however, a flicker of interest passed through them.

How had he not noticed earlier?

There was a real beauty standing right here.

He offered Arabella a genuine smile. “Alright, follow me.”

He hadn’t been keen on covering someone else’s class initially.

But after getting a proper look at Arabella’s striking features, he suddenly felt that substituting for one session wasn’t such a bad deal after all.

In the hallway, Lucas asked, “Are you both at the same stage in your training?”

“No, my sister is here for her very first lesson today,” Naomi answered directly for Arabella, as if subtly highlighting her own seniority.

Lucas looked at Arabella. She hadn’t said a word so far. Was the pretty girl just shy, or…?

Even though Kyle had asked him to take over, upon hearing it was her first day, Lucas decided to start her with the standard theory class.

After all, an instructor of his caliber wasn’t usually assigned to teach absolute beginners the ABCs of aviation.

Not even for someone as lovely as Arabella.

“Eric, this is a new student,” Lucas said to the instructor conducting the lesson.

Seeing that Lucas had personally brought her in, Eric Green quickly glanced at Arabella and responded with a professional smile. “Alright, I’ll get her situated.”

“Mm,” Lucas acknowledged before turning to leave.

Noticing that Lucas had sent Arabella to the beginner’s theory class, Naomi allowed a faint, almost imperceptible smile to touch her lips.

She had wondered if Lucas might give Arabella special attention, but it looked like she was going through the same standard procedure as everyone else.

She then turned to Arabella with feigned sisterly concern. “Take your time with the theory here. If there’s anything you don’t get, I can go over it with you later at home.

“I’ll head out now,” Naomi said before quickly following Lucas out.

Eric looked at Arabella. “Take a seat in the front row. Just listen in for today, and raise your hand if anything is unclear.”

“Okay,” Arabella replied, walking to her seat.

“Now, let’s continue with the principles of aerodynamics…” Eric carried on with the lesson.

Meanwhile, Ethan’s text came through. “Where are you having the lesson? Can you snap a picture if it’s convenient?”

Understanding he wanted to reassure Florence, Arabella quietly picked up her phone, took a quick photo of Eric teaching at the whiteboard, and sent it to Ethan.

Ethan glanced at the photo after receiving it and forwarded it directly to Florence.

“Mom, Arabella’s already in class. Here’s her instructor–nothing to worry about,” Ethan typed.

Florence had been holding her phone, waiting for an update. Seeing the photo, she felt somewhat reassured. “Alright. Is Arabella in a ground school class today?”
