“Who is it this time?” She picked up her phone to look and saw it was Edward calling.
“Arabella, how are you feeling today?” Edward asked gently, his tone full of concern.
“I’m fine. How about you? What are you up to?” Arabella asked him cheerfully.

“Just resting. Did you go to the hospital to get your bandage changed today?” Edward inquired, sounding worried.
“Oh, thank you for reminding me! I might have completely forgotten otherwise.” Prompted by Edward, Arabella suddenly remembered she hadn’t gone yet.
“You don’t take very good care of yourself, do you? How can you forget something like that? You should go soon,” Edward said, his voice a mix of fondness and helplessness.
“Okay, I’ll smile.

“There’s no need to come see me. Just let me know when you arrive, and I’ll come downstairs to meet you.” Edward didn’t want to trouble her, especially since getting around in a wheelchair with an injured foot would be difficult.
“Alright, I’ll call you after it’s done.”
“Okay. How will you get to the hospital? Is someone going with you?” Edward asked.
“Yes, someone’s with me. Don’t worry. We’ll meet at the hospital.
“I should stop talking now. I need to get ready to head out,” Arabella said.
“Alright, I’ll let you go. Take your time getting ready.” With that, Edward ended the call.
Arabella put
down the phone and began changing her clothes.
“Arabella, why are you changing? Are you going out?” Florence had just walked in and saw her daughter getting dressed. She quickly approached.
“Mom, perfect timing. Has Ethan left yet?” Arabella asked.
“No, he’s downstairs sitting with your father,” Florence replied while helping Arabella.
“Good,” Arabella said, breathing a small sigh of relief.

“The nurse said I need to have the dressing changed daily. I was planning to go to the hospital,” Arabella explained.
“Oh, to the hospital. It’s good Ethan is here. He can go with you in a bit,” Florence suggested.
“Okay, that’s what I was thinking too.”
As they spoke, Arabella finished getting dressed. Florence helped her into the wheelchair and began pushing her downstairs.
In the living room, Ethan was chatting with Jonathan. He glanced over and saw Florence pushing Arabella down. Looking at his sister, he asked, “What are you doing down here?”
“I need to go to the hospital to get this bandage changed. If Edward hadn’t reminded me, I probably would have forgotten,” Arabella replied, looking at Ethan.
“Alright, I’ll take you,” Ethan said as he stood up and walked over.
“Ethan, drive carefully,” Florence reminded him, her expression concerned.
“Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll be careful,” Ethan responded.
“We’ll be off then.” With that, Ethan took over pushing the wheelchair toward the entrance. Jonathan and Florence followed them out.
Ethan gently helped Arabella into the passenger seat. Looking at her parents standing by the car, Arabella said, “Mom, Dad, I’m just going to the hospital for a quick dressing change. There’s no need to worry. You should go back inside.”
“It’s fine. You two go ahead,” Florence replied with a gentle smile.
Ethan then started the car and, under their parents‘ watchful eyes, drove away from Cloudrise Manor toward the hospital.
On the way, Arabella was chatting casually with Ethan when her phone rang again.
“What is with today? Why is everyone calling?” Arabella murmured to herself as she picked up the phone to check. Surprisingly, it was Lucas.
“Hello, Lucas. What’s up?”
“The nurse said you should get that dressing changed daily. I was afraid you might forget, so I thought I’d call to remind you,” Lucas said in a friendly tone.
