He genuinely wanted to spend more time with her now that they’d finally crossed paths.
Arabella checked the time. “Alright then.”
She opened the car door and got in. “Let’s go to the lesson first. I can pick up my car afterward.”
‘It’s no trouble, I can drive you,” Lucas offered.
Arabella shook her head. “It’s fine, I’ll just call a cab later.”
“I’ll be done when your lesson ends–it’s really on my way.” Lucas wanted to take every opportunity to be with her.
Arabella didn’t want to impose, but seeing his sincerity, she simply smiled without committing either way.
“You were at the café pretty early. Did you have plans with someone?” Lucas asked curiously.
“No, I just got there a bit early and decided to wait inside,” Arabella replied, not elaborating.
“Oh, I see,” Lucas said with a grin. “Looks like we really were meant to run into each other.”
He felt incredibly fortunate to have spotted her like that.
Chatting lightly, they soon arrived at the flight school.
Just as they entered the main building, they ran into Naomi and Ruby.
“Why are you two together?” Ruby frowned, her displeasure evident.
“Is that your business?” Arabella replied coolly.
These two–even though she’d tried to schedule her lessons at different times, she still managed to bump into them.
“You!” Ruby was left speechless, her face flushing with anger.
“Enough. You’re blocking the hallway,” Lucas said impatiently.
This student was really something–they weren’t even acquainted, yet she always had to comment on everything.

“Lucas, can’t you see? She’s manipulative. Don’t be fooled by her act,” Ruby said, her heart stinging at Lucas‘ dismissive tone.
“Please mind your own affairs,” Lucas stated firmly.
Ruby’s face went pale. “My name is Ruby. We’ve known each other for a while–how can you not even remember that?”
“Why should I remember?” Lucas couldn’t help rolling his eyes. It had nothing to do with him.
“You’re being unreasonable!” Ruby felt her temper boiling over.
