Unemployed Family? Hidden Tycoons Dote On Her novel Chapter 560

"Not yet. But legal has already put out a statement, and we're managing the narrative online," Andy replied.

"Alright," Matthew responded, leaving it at that.

After leaving Horizon Corp, Brielle gave Arabella a call. "Arabella, Matthew says it's all made up. There's nothing going on between him and Naomi."

"That's good to hear," Arabella said calmly.

"Why do you sound so unfazed?" Brielle asked, surprised.

Arabella chuckled lightly. "How should I be reacting, then?"

"Even if you were just some random person scrolling through Twitter, you'd at least be shocked—or want to dig into the gossip a little," Brielle pointed out, still confused.

"You said it—just a random person," Arabella replied. So she'd treated it like any other celebrity rumor: read it, noted it, and moved on.

Sure, part of her had already guessed Matthew and Naomi were unlikely to be involved, so there wasn't much to obsess over anyway.

"You're way too relaxed about this. Have you seen how this story is trending everywhere?" Brielle sighed. "I saw Horizon Corp's legal team released a statement, but it doesn't seem to be slowing things down much."

"It's still blowing up?" Arabella frowned.

This was Matthew. He shouldn't have any trouble shutting down a false story.

If the news was still spreading wildly, it probably meant someone was behind it—feeding the media new bits to keep it alive.

For some reason, Naomi's face came to Arabella's mind.

If this story kept gaining traction, chances were Naomi was pulling the strings.

Brielle murmured, "I thought it was weird, too. Normally people just glance at this stuff and move on, but it's been almost a full day and it's still everywhere."

"Don't worry. Mr. Stewart will handle it," Arabella said, trying to reassure her friend.

"Yeah," Brielle agreed. "If Matthew says it's not true, he won't let it slide."

"So, feeling better now?" Arabella teased.

Brielle laughed, a little embarrassed. "I'm fine, honestly. I was just caught off guard at first, but it didn't really get to me. Going to see Matthew was just about getting clarity."

"What kind of clarity were you looking for?" Arabella asked curiously.

"Just... answers. Any answers. If it was true, I'd step back. If not, I'd just keep doing what I've been doing," Brielle explained. That was how she'd seen it in the moment.

And strangely, part of her had even felt a sense of relief at the idea it might be true.

"You're pretty laid-back about this. Aren't you worried about what your dad will say?" Arabella joked.

Brielle smirked. "What's there to worry about? It's not on me. Dad can't blame me for this."

She'd done what he'd suggested. It just hadn't worked out.

"As long as you're clear on things," Arabella said, leaving it there.

"Yep. So, Arabella, let's grab lunch soon," Brielle suggested.

Arabella smiled warmly. "Sounds good."

After hanging up, Arabella had just picked up a file when her phone rang again.
