Unemployed Family? Hidden Tycoons Dote On Her novel Chapter 562

After they stepped out of the villa, Arabella said, "Uncle, Aunt—what Ruby did wasn't some federal offense. She won't be in for long, it's just..." She hesitated briefly. "Maybe once things settle down, you could think about what comes next for Ruby after she's released."

Sophia nodded, a look of relief crossing her face. "That's really considerate of you, Arabella."

"We've been talking about it. Most likely we'll arrange for her to study overseas. Of course, we'll wait until she's out and see what she wants to do herself," Liam replied.

Arabella seemed reassured. "Since you've already got a plan, I won't say any more about it."

"No, it's good that you brought it up. It means a lot," Sophia said softly. At least it showed Arabella wasn't holding a grudge—Ruby was simply facing the consequences of her own actions.

"I might be traveling abroad for a while soon myself. I'll make sure to visit when I'm in the area," Arabella offered, shifting the subject. However understanding her aunt and uncle were, Ruby's situation was still a sore topic, and it felt better to move on.

"We'd love that. We'll make sure you're well taken care of when you come," Sophia said, managing a small smile.

"Sounds good," Arabella replied with a nod.

Liam and Sophia then got into their car and drove off.

Arabella watched them leave before turning back inside to the living room.

Ethan was speaking to Naomi about the news coverage. "Naomi, about that story—Horizon Corp's legal team has already issued a clarification. You should put out a statement too. It'll help both you and Matthew."

Naomi looked surprised. "But Matthew already handled it. Do I really need to?"

"You don't want to clear things up?" Ethan frowned slightly.

"It's not that." Naomi shook her head. "I just think since Matthew already addressed it, maybe it's better if I stay quiet. Sometimes not saying anything speaks for itself."

"True," Arabella's voice cut in, her tone deliberate. "Staying silent can either mean you don't care, or that you're admitting it's true. Which one are you going for?"

"That's not what I meant," Naomi flustered, backtracking. "I only thought... since Matthew made a statement, everyone should just follow his lead."

"Alright then." Arabella shrugged, as though it didn't matter much to her either way.

Naomi, however, felt a prick of irritation—it seemed like Arabella was deliberately needling her.

"But how did you end up staying over at the Stewarts' place?" Frank asked Naomi, his brow slightly furrowed.

"I went to visit Mr. Stewart. We had some wine with dinner, and I guess I had more than I realized. He insisted I stay the night rather than drive," Naomi explained.
