Unemployed Family? Hidden Tycoons Dote On Her novel Chapter 595

Ryan rolled his eyes. "What are we waiting for? You're not even in the picture."

Robert shot Matthew a look of disgust. "Giving it to him is pointless."

"At least it's their photo. It has nothing to do with you," Ryan replied. Whether it was useful or not, it was still a keepsake.

"Thanks, Ryan. Enjoy the rest of your day," Matthew said before turning to leave.

Robert grumbled under his breath, "That little punk."

He had known it—Matthew definitely had an agenda coming over here.

"Robert, let's set up the chessboard," Ryan called out.

"Yeah, alright." Robert's irritation melted away instantly.

He threw one last meaningful glance at Matthew's retreating figure before settling down to play chess with Ryan.

Matthew finally had the photo in his hands. He studied the two people in it—both standing straight, a little reserved, even distant—but just being framed together made them seem closer somehow.

His expression darkened. After a long moment of hesitation, he saved the image and tucked his phone away.

Out in the garden, the two older men were mid-game, both wearing cheerful smiles.

"I have a feeling those two might have some good news for us before long," Ryan remarked.

"Who knows? My stubborn grandson still thinks Ran is seeing someone," Robert huffed.

Ryan looked surprised. "You still haven't told him?"

"Why should I?" Robert crossed his arms. "He likes sneaking around behind my back, doesn't he? If he wants to play the single man, let's see how long he lasts."

Ryan paused, then shook his head with a chuckle. "You really are a petty old man."

"Hey now." Lena patted Ryan's shoulder lightly, laughing. "Don't be too hard on him."

She turned to Robert. "Robert, you can tell Matthew has fallen for Arabella—that's why you're not in any hurry. Am I right?"

She was convinced that if Matthew didn't have feelings for Arabella, Robert would be the one panicking.

Robert stiffened for a second, then broke into a grin. "You see right through me, Lena."

Truth was, he was pretty confident about how things stood—he just wanted to teach that kid a lesson.

"Those two... no wonder everyone's on edge," Ryan commented, shaking his head.

"Let them be," Lena said gently. "Good things take time."

Robert nodded in agreement. "Wise words."

"Your move," Ryan called, drawing Robert's attention back to the board.

Robert looked down and suddenly exclaimed, "Hey! When did you surround me? You're a sly one!"

"All's fair in love and war," Ryan replied smugly. "You shouldn't have gotten distracted."

"No way, this doesn't count. Let's start over."

Laughter filled the sunny garden.

The weather was clear and bright.

After resting for a while, Arabella felt like going out for a walk.

She was here to enjoy herself, after all, and the scenery was too beautiful to miss.

As soon as she stepped outside, she ran into Matthew. She blinked in surprise. "Mr. Stewart, I thought you'd be out exploring?"
