Chapter 195 Fault Lines
This interview was hosted personally by Elena.

She wore a pearl–white blouse paired with tailored slacks, composed and confident as she spoke to Monica
on camera.
Monica was equally professional and easygoing.
The entire interview flowed naturally and wrapped up smoothly.
At the Hart residence, the livestream was playing on the TV. Camille stared at Elena on the screen, her face flushing with anger.
Richard sat nearby, watching as well.
He glanced at Elena on the screen, then at Camille’s expression filled with jealousy. A quiet sense of regret surfaced in his chest.
In terms of capability, Elena was far more like him.
Back then, he had put in a lot of effort to send Camille abroad to build her profile.
Meanwhile, Elena had stayed in Grayhaven, with no support from him, yet she still built a name for herself.
But regret didn’t change anything. Elena was no longer close to them.
Richard let out a quiet sigh.
Camille noticed.
The look on his face hit her hard, tightening something deep in her chest. She bit her lip, blinking fast to keep the tears from spilling.
Because of Elena, she and Nathan hadn’t spoken properly in a long time.
She had called him countless times. Nathan always gave the same response.
“Give me some time.”
If this kept going, they would end up divorced. And maybe, little by little, Elena would take everything from her, including the Hart family.
She couldn’t let that happen. She couldn’t keep letting Elena stand above her.
Elena had no time to think about Camille. After the interview, she originally planned to invite Monica to dinner.
But remembering the family dinner that night, she postponed it.
After work, Elena walked out of Velmora Media, heading toward her car.

Before she got far, she spotted a very familiar black luxury sedan parked not far away.
Alexander was here. She paused for a brief second. Then she acted like she hadn’t seen it and continued toward her own car.
“Hey,” Sophia’s voice came from behind as she suddenly looped her arm through Elena’s.
“Come on, you’re riding with us. Alexander’s waiting.”
At that point, pretending not to notice would have been too obvious. Elena had no choice but to walk over. She got into the back seat.
Alexander sat beside her, a faint, unreadable smile on his lips. Elena’ didn’t even look at him.
She fastened her seatbelt and turned her gaze toward the window.
Why does he look so irritating right now?
Alexander’s smile faded slightly. Ryan was driving, and Sophia sat in the front passenger seat.
She quickly sensed the tension and glanced at Ryan.
“What’s going on with them?”
Ryan blinked. “No idea.”
Sophia pressed her lips together. “Then we should stay quiet.”
Ryan gave the slightest nod. “Agreed.”
The two exchanged exaggerated looks in silence.
Ryan suddenly felt a light tap on the back of his seat.
“If your eyes are bothering you, you should get them checked tomorrow,” Alexander said.
Ryan quickly said, “No, I’m fine. I just got something in my eye earlier.”
Elena frowned slightly. She felt Alexander’s tone was unnecessarily sharp.
So she spoke gently instead. “If your eyes are irritated, you really should have them looked at. I’m sure Mr. Kingsley wouldn’t deny you a day off.”
Ryan fell silent.
At this point, he just wanted to disappear.
They soon arrived at inside.
Kingsley Manor. Elena got out first and linked arms with Sophia as they walked
Alexander followed behind, watching her with a complicated expression.

Tonight was the Kingsley family dinner. Simon and Caleb were already there, chatting with Walter.
When they saw Elena and Alexander, they greeted them and invited them to sit.
After sitting down, Elena noticed not everyone present was from the Kingsley family.
There was also a woman she recognized.
The same middle–aged woman who had been talking to Fiona outside the restaurant before.
Zoe had been chatting with Evelyn. The moment she saw Elena, a flicker of surprise crossed her eyes.
