Sham Marriage Gut, Real Heiress Strikes Back
Chapter 217 No Way Out
Clement looked at her, something sharp hidden in his eyes.
Enhed
Fiona casually brushed her hair back, acting like it meant nothing. “I don’t mean anything by it. You know Velmora Media and Aetherline Media are competitors. I just don’t want any personal drama between her and Camille affecting the company.”
“So you can tell Alexander later that the baby might be Nathan’s?”
Clement said it flat out.
Fiona froze.
Elena’s pregnancy had spread through the executive circle in less than half an hour. It wasn’t exactly a secret
anymore.
Her smile stiffened. “That’s not what I meant…”
“Then why ask if she’s been in contact with Nathan?” Clement pressed.
Fiona didn’t understand why he was suddenly pushing so hard. She forced out an explanation, “I’m just looking out for her. I don’t want her making a bad decision.”
Clement’s expression turned colder.
Before this, she had deliberately hinted to him that Elena was Alexander’s mistress.
He had almost offended Elena because of it.
If Elena had taken it seriously, his position might’ve been gone.
Liking Alexander wasn’t the issue. But dragging other people into it, using them like tools, that was a different story.
Even her soft, gentle features now felt… unpleasant.
“You should focus on your own business,” Clement said coldly.
He picked up his mug and walked back into his office.
Fiona tightened her grip on her coffee mug, barely stopping herself from smashing it against the floor.
Meanwhile, in the hospital room.
Alexander sat at the edge of the bed, shoulders slightly hunched, like a kid who knew he’d messed up, not even daring to look at Elena.
Elena sat on the couch, anger sull written across her face.
On the bed, a few condoms were scattered.
This pregnancy didn’t make sense.

Finished
Setting aside whether anything was off with Alexander, they had been using protection. Sure, nothing is one hundred percent, but the odds were low. She refused to believe she was just that unlucky.
So after leaving the hospital, she went home and checked.
And yeah.
Every opened box in the drawer had been tampered with, tiny pinholes in each one.
Her birth control pills had also been swapped out for vitamins that looked almost identical.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got.
The frustration she’d barely pushed down surged right back up.
She walked over, grabbed the condoms, and threw them at him. “You wanted this baby that badly? You’d actually pull something like this?”
She didn’t even know what they were anymore.
And now suddenly, there was a baby. Everything felt completely out of control.
A baby didn’t even have a shape yet, but just knowing it existed created a tie she couldn’t ignore.
“Yeah,”
Alexander let her vent, then answered simply, “I did.”
Elena went quiet for a second. “…What if we end up getting divorced, Alexander? There’s no guarantee we’re going to last.”
What were they, really? Even now, there was no clear answer.
Was this baby supposed to grow up in a broken home? And more importantly, he never once talked to her about wanting a child.
Was this what he wanted? Or what the Kingsley family wanted?
After she spoke, Alexander didn’t respond right away.
She looked up. His expression had hardened, something dark settling over him.
He got up and walked toward her. The shift in pressure made it feel harder to breathe.
“You’re carrying my child,” he said, brows drawn tight. “And you’re still thinking about divorcing me?”
