“You really are something…” Catherine sighed helplessly and went upstairs to get Richard.

The study door suddenly opened.

Camille walked in with a plate of fruit.

“Honey-” she called.

Nathan switched the screen quickly, but it was too late.

She had already caught a glimpse of Elena’s photo. The smile on her face froze.

Her jaw tightened. “What is it?” Nathan asked calmly.

Camille’s expression dimmed slightly. She placed the orange slices on the desk.

“I brought you some fruit,” she said, then added casually, “I heard from my dad that you’ve been in contact with Simon recently?”

“Yeah,” Nathan replied. “Simon’s company has strong potential in the pharmaceutical industry. If things go well, I’m planning to propose separating that sector from Hawthorne Group and developing it independently.”

He spoke evenly.

Simon’s company might be new, but Simon himself came from the Kingsley family, and before entering business, he had been a medical PhD. His network and expertise were both strong.

Hawthorne Group had previously considered entering the pharmaceutical field, but Victor had no interest in it, so the idea was shelved.

Now that Victor was in prison, and Nathan didn’t get along with Daniel and Evan, he had been shut out of other divisions. The pharmaceutical sector was the only thing left for him to handle.

After several meetings, things with Simon had gone smoothly. If he could secure Richard’s investment, the collaboration would benefit all parties.
