Unwanted Fake Wife The Top Billionaire novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39 Credit

Hannah shot to her feet, ready to storm into Andy’s office and demand justice for Elena.

“Don’t.”

Elena caught her wrist and pulled her back.

“It won’t help, and I’m not letting you risk your job over this.”

She knew Hannah meant well, but she could not drag everyone down with her. A docked bonus would be annoying, but if someone actually lost their job because of her, that would be a disaster.

“With one mess after another, I was already thinking about quitting. I’ve been here for years, maybe it’s time for a change.”

She had made up her mind.

Once it happens once, it happens again, and then again. As long as she and Camille stayed at the same magazine, Camille would always get the spotlight while she stood in the shadows.

Elena knew she didn’t need this place to prove anything. If she was good, she’d be fine anywhere.

She wanted to see whether Camille could really carry the weight without her.

Seeing the resolve in her eyes, Hannah stopped arguing, though frustration still burned in her voice. “Your work just gets handed over like that, it’s not fair to you.”

Elena smiled, a hint of mystery in her eyes.

‘Just wait and see.

The next day, the interview with Alexander was published, and under the interviewer’s name, it read, Camille.

It was the first exclusive interview with the CEO of Pinnacle Group. Less than ten minutes after Swiftline posted it on their official Twitter account, the views had already passed one hundred thousand.

The comment section exploded, with people talking not only about Alexander but also about Camille.

Someone wrote, [Did anyone notice the interviewer is that gorgeous anchor Camille, that’s insane, she just got back and already landed Alexander?]

Another said, Talent speaks for itself, who would turn down an interview from a beautiful host!)

A third added, [Maybe Alexander and Camille will spark someiling, by the way has anyone even seen what Alexander looks like?)

Camille reposted Swiftline’s tweet on her own Twitter, adding a sweet caption.

Grateful to Andy for giving me this opportunity, and thank you to Mr. Kingsley for being so cooperative. I’ll keep working hard and won’t let anyone down.

She did not expect that less than five minutes later, another post would surface.

It came from a gossip account with a sizable following, known for breaking celebrity drama.

“War correspondent returns home and steals colleague’s credit, is this a moral collapse or just plain ambition?”
