Chapter 695 The Helicopter

Her right hand tightened slightly as she pulled the sand aside and used her ice ability.

She raised her hand, and countless chunks of ice burst from her palm, spreading in every

direction.

Wherever the ice swept, everything was frozen solid.

Even Tyler was caught in the blast.

Tyler quickly leaped up and landed on top of an ice block.

In an instant, all the corpses stopped moving, trapped tightly beneath the ice.

The human corpses that had been struggling were now frozen solid from the neck down, with only their heads left free.

Some of them still struggled, their necks twisting desperately as if they could break loose.

A few kept clacking their teeth, making a sound that sent chills down her spine.

Under the blazing sun, the frozen expanse stretched for over 300 feet.

Beneath the thick sheet of ice, all kinds of gruesome corpses were buried.

The scene was horrifying and, in a way, weirdly grand.

And the Sea Folk hadn’t escaped, either.

Most of her body was locked in the ice. She had nowhere left to run.

Her army of rotten corpses couldn’t save her now.

Caroline looked at what was left of Zoe beside her and took a deep breath.

Finally, her gaze landed on the woman in front of her.

I’m going to crush you!

Caroline charged forward, swinging the hammer that had replaced her head, and down at the woman, who was stuck tightly in the ice like a trapped green onion.

With a huge bang, the scales on the woman’s head finally shattered.

The smile disappeared from her face as well.

It was as if she couldn’t believe that her nearly indestructible scales had broken under one blow from Caroline.

Caroline didn’t give her any time to think. She drew a pistol and, without hesitation, shot the woman in the head.

With another loud bang, the woman died on the spot.

Staring at the dead woman’s face, still twisted in disbelief, Caroline’s chest heaved as she tried to catch her breath.

This was the one fight she never wanted to remember, out of all the dangers she had faced in her life.

It wasn’t just the stress of fighting a new type of enemy.

The worst part was the pain of fighting against the corpse of someone she used to know.

She liked to think of herself as emotionally strong.

But everything she had just gone through left her deeply shaken.

Clenching her jaw, Caroline threw the Sea Folk’s body into her storage spaceNelson still needed research samples, and this one would give him something to dissect and study.

From her recent battle with the Sea Folk, Caroline had realized how terrifying these creatures

were.

Still, there was no need to be too worried.

After all, if she ever ran into something she couldn’t handle, she still had her ultimate move- unleash Shane.

She glanced back. All the corpses that had been fighting a moment ago were now silent.

Caroline looked down at Zoe, still frozen beneath the ice, and let out a deep sigh. She took a fresh flower out of her storage space, placed it on top of the ice. Then she jumped onto the frozen surface like Tyler, walking forward in silence.

Tyler walked beside her. He could tell Caroline was in a bad mood.

He didn’t ask. He just walked quietly by her side and placed a hand on her shoulder, as if he wanted to give her a little support.

Caroline tensed up at first, but then she tilted her head, letting it rest gently on Tyler’s shoulder.

The moment her head touched him, Caroline felt something inside her snapped.
