Chapter 22
Andrea spun around fast and fired at the mutant wolf.
The mutant wolf was incredibly agile. It dodged every bolt with ease. Still, at least it slowed the beast down for a second
As she backed away, Andrea scanned the area around her.
The moment she spotted what she needed, she sprinted toward the metal storage cabinet on the right
Just before the mutant wolf reached her, Andrea climbed onto the cabinet, then kicked it over with one hard shove and grabbed the iron ladder bolted to the wall above.
The mutant wolf had been about to climb after her, but the cabinet Andrea knocked over slammed right into it.
The ladder was more than six feet off the ground. The mutant wolf couldn’t reach it and could only claw furiously at the wall below.
Standing on the ladder, Andrea gripped the railing with her left hand and released the tweezers she’d reforged yesterday with her right.
She ordered. “Tie it up.”
The tweezers instantly stretched out, becoming so thin they were nearly invisible.
The mutant wolf had clearly underestimated what the human in front of it could do. Before it knew it, it was tightly bound.
Andrea seized the chance, took aim, and fired one bolt straight into its head.
She didn’t use the poisoned arrows. Meat from a mutant wolf was still meat, and good protein was still hard to come by.
Once the mutant wolf stopped moving, Andrea still didn’t release the binding right away.
Only then did she let herself relax a little. Looking down from the height, she was honestly surprised she’d climbed up so smoothly.
This was where the boost in her physical stats really showed. The old Andrea wouldn’t have even dared imagine climbing a cabinet that high in one burst.
Andrea spent a few seconds psyching herself up before jumping down. She landed lightly.
After watching for a moment and making sure the mutant wolf was truly dead, Andrea finally stored the whole thing into one backpack slot.
Just then, a private message alert chimed.
Gwen: [Andrea, are you hurt? Need backup?]
Then Andrea realized that the back of her hand was burning with pain. She raised it and saw a vicious cut across the skin. still dripping blood.
She must’ve scraped it on the rusty metal cabinet.
Andrea pulled out one of blood–stanching pills she’d made earlier and swallowed it.
The wound visibly closed up and quickly scabbed over.

Looking at the rust–covered cabinet, Andrea suddenly got a little worried Please don’t tell me this is how people get tetaris
Gwen was still asking if she was okay, so Andrea quickly replied, [I’m okay. Just got scraped by the cabinet. Thanks for checking]
Thinking back to the way Gwen had casually twisted a mutant wolf’s neck off earlier, Andrea couldn’t help being seriously impressed by her.
She thought, ‘Compared to how rough I look right now, Gwen’s combat power is on a whole different level.
Andrea didn’t keep heading deeper inside. There wasn’t much time left. She turned and hurried out, running straight for the central building.
By the time she got back, the rat had already delivered all the supplies from the shopping run.
Right now, the kitchen was piled high with vegetables, meats, all kinds of seasonings, and cooking tools.
The female horn beast stared in shock. “Did you lose your mind? Who needs this much food for one day?”
Andrea felt a little awkward. ‘So it’s supposed to be ingredients for one day?‘
Nobody had bothered telling her. She’d basically wiped out half the rat’s inventory.
After all, it wasn’t Andrea’s gold coins being spent. So signing for the delivery had felt pretty great.
The tall horn beast had just returned from outside, and even he froze when he walked into the kitchen.
Andrea quietly lowered her head. ‘Am I about to get fired on the spot? Sorry, Orion.”
But after taking a few looks, the tall horn beast laughed. “Now this is how you cook for leadership.
The boss said lunch was amazing. Wants you to personally bring dinner up later.”
Andrea’s eyes widened. She glanced down at her own hands, confused. ‘Amazing? Does this NPC Trial Mode come with built–in cooking skills or something?‘
Then the tall horn beast noticed the back of her hand and frowned. “Did you get that cut outside? Make sure you spray it. If the virus gets in, you’re screwed.”
After saying that, he tossed her a bottle of medicine.
He added, “This stuff was only developed a couple days ago. Lucky you. Cost twenty gold coins.”
Hearing this, Andrea suddenly realized her eyes felt strangely hot. A jolt of alarm ran through her.
She immediately opened her personal panel. Beside her name was a new status.
Virus Infection: Early Stage. Seek treatment immediately.J
Andrea grabbed the spray bottle and quickly used it a few times.
The back of her hand instantly felt cool, and the smell was oddly familiar.
She looked at it a little closer and realized it was the exact same antidote spray she’d used on the infected horn beasts before
‘Could their virus actually be connected to this dungeon?‘ Andrea wondered.

She quietly kept her eyes lowered to the floor, only occasionally catching sight of two tiny furry feet swaying back and forth.
Inwardly. Andrea couldn’t help wondering what this leader actually looked like.
The leader ate slowly, leisurely, and every now and then added, “Tastes good.”
The praise was making Andrea cringe so hard she almost couldn’t stand there.
Half an hour later, the leader finally finished eating.
It dabbed its mouth with a napkin and said slowly, “You did well. And I have a proposal.”
Hearing that it involved her, Andrea had no choice but to look up.
Thankfully, this one was way cuter than the giant rats from before.
It was only about a foot and a half tall, with a tuft of golden fur on its head.
A chubby little rat with a round face, gold–rimmed glasses, and a gentle smile.
When it saw her finally look up, it didn’t say anything else. It simply smiled and handed her an exquisitely carved wooden box.
