Just then, Josephine arrived, accompanied by Agnes. The moment she stepped into the hallway, she demanded, "How are the babies? Is it serious?"

The moment Elaine marched out of the hospital's main entrance, she saw Finnian climbing out of a sleek black sedan. His expression was grim. Spotting his mother, he quickened his pace.

"You don't think I'm making this up just to smear her, do you? Finnian, are you still treating her like your wife? The woman is literally trying to divorce you..."

"Mom, stop talking about the divorce," Finnian snapped, already thoroughly exhausted by his mother's relentless nagging.

The two hurried back to the ER corridor just as Dr. Evans emerged. Elaine lunged forward and grabbed his arm. "Please, doctor, you have to save the babies. They mean everything to us."

Dr. Evans pulled down his mask, his expression somber as he looked at the wealthy, immaculately dressed family. "The situation isn't good.
