Chapter Two Hundred And Fifty–Seven: My Wife Is Not Suffering.
The elevator doors opened into a silence space. Cassienne was the first person to step out.
The penthouse stretched before her in quiet elegance, the space wide and open, framed by floor to ceiling glass that revealed the city below. Light poured in naturally, reflecting off polished surfaces and soft neutral tones that gave the entire place a calm, refined atmosphere.
Aurora followed closely behind, her eyes widening as she took in the space.
“Wow,” she said under her breath.
Tessa and Elena moved in next, already directing the staff who had arrived earlier with Cassienne’s belongings. Boxes were carried in with care, furniture placements were confirmed, and everything began to fall into place with smooth coordination.
Cassienne walked further inside, her steps slow as she absorbed the space.
The living area opened seamlessly into a modern kitchen and a private lounge. Every piece of furniture had been selected with care. Nothing felt excessive, yet everything spoke of quiet luxury.
It was exactly what she wanted. A place that felt like her own. A place away from everything. She stopped near the glass wall and looked out over the city.
For a moment, she said nothing. Then a small smile touched her lips.
Aurora joined her, folding her arms as she leaned slightly to one side. “So, this is it?” she asked.
Cassienne shrugged lightly, her smile still present.n“Yeah,” she said. “This is it. It has begun already.”
Aurora exhaled slowly, still taking everything in.
“Good,” she said, her tone shifting slightly. “Because I cannot wait to personally deal with that witch.”
Cassienne laughed softly. “Oh, I am enjoying this,” she replied.
They moved to the living room and settled into the wide, comfortable sofa. A tray of fresh juice had already been placed on the table.
For a brief moment, the room fell quiet. Aurora glanced at Cassienne, and her expression softened. “But seriously,” she said, “are you sure you can handle this?”
Cassienne leaned back slightly, her gaze thoughtful. “Dreston is my husband,” she began calmly. “This is the only way out.” Her voice was steady. “He is out there doing everything he can for our family,” she continued. “Until we have enough evidence to bring Tina down, this has to continue.”
She paused, then added, “It is the only way.”
Aurora watched her carefully.
“And as for whether I can handle it,” Cassienne said, her lips curving slightly, “of course I can. I will be

busy.”
Aurora shook her head slowly. She still did not fully understand it. The calm, the control, and the willingness to walk into something so complicated. Yet, she admired it. She admired Cassienne.
Cassienne turned toward her. “Let’s talk about you,” she said, shifting the mood. “What is going on
between you and Garry?”
Aurora leaned back and reached for the glass of juice, finishing it in one smooth gulp before setting it
down.
“Let’s just say we are friends for now,” she replied.
Cassienne raised a brow. “Friends?” she repeated.
Aurora sighed softly. “It is complicated,” she said. “Garry does not know what he wants. So we are just… there. Nothing serious.”
Cassienne tilted her head slightly. “I thought you two had moved past that stage,” she said.
Aurora gave a small, knowing smile. “It might look that way,” she replied. “But believe me, there is nothing defined between us.”
Cassienne nodded slowly. “And Daisy?” she asked.
Aurora laughed immediately.
“What is funny?” Cassienne asked, though she was already smiling.
“Daisy is something else,” Aurora said. “I do not understand that woman at all.”
Cassienne laughed lightly. “Ray wants something real,” she said.
Aurora nodded. “And Daisy does not do relationships,” she replied.
Cassienne finished the thought naturally. “Exactly.”
Aurora leaned forward slightly. “But she is not cheating on him either,” she added. “So it is just like mine. Complicated.”
Cassienne sighed softly. “I hate complications,” she said. “You and Daisy need to figure out what you want.” Her tone was gentle but firm. “Especially Daisy,” she continued. “Ray is good for her. We need to help her see that clearly.”
Aurora scoffed lightly. “You think she does not know?” she asked. “That woman is just…” She trailed off, unable to find the right words.
Cassienne smiled faintly..“I understand,” she said.
There was a quiet understanding between them. Each of them carried something complicated.
Each of them stood at a different point in their lives. Yet, they remained connected, supportive, and

Across the city, the atmosphere inside the Tremont mansion was far from calm. Abigail paced slowly across the sitting room, her expression filled with worry. Her hands moved restlessly as her thoughts refused to settle.
Dreston and Joseph sat nearby, their discussion low and focused as they worked through their next steps. The tension in the room was quiet, but heavy.
“I still do not like this plan.” Abigail’s voice broke through the room suddenly.
