When the GF9 Test Subject Became His Obsession novel Chapter 112

Sebastian’s hand paused ever so slightly in his work.

Serena realized she had guessed right, but…

"Why?"

That struck a nerve.

Why? He didn’t even know why himself.

After a long moment, the man lifted his head, his expression calm but serious. "You could try relying on me."

Even if I don’t have much time left to live, even if there’s nothing between us that should warrant such trust, I can still protect you. For as long as I have, I’ll do everything I can to protect you.

There was an unspoken depth in his dark eyes.

Serena’s heart gave a faint tremor.

"You won’t die," she suddenly said.

Sebastian made a questioning sound. "Hm?"

"My master once treated a woman who was allergic to men."

Noah, who had been about to slip out the door, froze, his hand still on the knob. His heart leapt as he looked at Serena intently.

Maybe… maybe Serena really could save Sebastian.

"Although she did die in the end,"

Noah nearly choked. His briefly rising hope plummeted.

"She died of cancer."

Noah quietly wiped his sweat. Serena, could you please stop with the dramatic pauses?

"Maybe I can save you too."

After all that rambling, Serena finally came to her conclusion. She only hoped it didn’t sound too abrupt to anyone else.

Sebastian suddenly understood. No wonder she had known from the very first meeting that he was allergic to women and even knew how to administer emergency aid. She had seen a case like his before.

"But…"

Noah’s heart jumped again. Serena, could you not drag things out like this?

"You have to pay me extra."

Both Noah and Sebastian were speechless.

Sebastian tapped his fingers lightly on the desk. After a pause, he said, "I fought for you."

Serena was speechless.

"Yesterday, I pulled you out of danger. Then I sent you home."

Noah nearly burst out laughing. He quickly jumped in to coax her on Sebastian’s behalf. "Ms. Serena, if it’s more than money, maybe you’ll actually get even more out of it."
