“A reversal ritual to bring back those who died from Ryker’s dark magic within eleven days?!” Jude gasped in the middle of his frantic attempt to get back.

Mace explained, “I honestly didn’t understand much, but my Queen gave up her powers to protect the people of the realm. But it was also a part of a ritual. She has been performing the ritual to reverse life and death for her protectors and for those who were killed untimely by Ryker’s dark magic!”

Jude stilled completely in shock however his heart quickened as he desperately looked at Ryker’s destroyed palace far behind them in the dense forest. The smoke, lightning, and loud sounds of fighting were intensifying and terrifying at the same time. It was as if the world was coming to an end.

But his desperate eyes caught his Spencer coming towards them with Hugo in his arms and behind him Alpha Darious was following, carrying Grace in his arms.

“GRACE!!” Jude ran yelling like crazy. He immediately took her in his arms.

Alpha Darious watched Jude’s condition with a heavy heart and stated, “Alpha Gideon is dead and she is too…”

Jude screamed, “No!” his eyes blood red as his gaze snapped at Grace’s closed eyes, “You can’t die. You can not leave me. Nothing was supposed to happen to you. I will not let you go,” he shifted into his wolf and dashed away with her body lying on his wolf’s back.

Spencer looked at Alpha Hugo’s unresponsive state. With a heavy heart, he also shifted into his wolf and took him away at full speed.

Standing among the spirits, Ryker’s eyes were wide in disbelief and full of fury at seeing the people he killed return from their deaths. He had rotted, suffered, and died painful more times than he could count over the last nine hundred years, and returned with twice the hatred and anger each time after so many struggles and curses. However, Seraphina bringing back those who had been killed by him was a blow to his ego, she spit on his nine hundred years of dark magic, it was yet another betrayal.

She had never given up her powers for him or accepted his mark even for a second. It was all just a deception!

Veins popped up under his skin as he roared, countless spirits tore away all of her protectors from her. “HOW DARE YOU!!!”

Seraphina’s gaze turned colder, “Like you dared nine hundred years ago, Ryker,” she glared deep into his burning eyes, “For the loss of innocent lives from Elysium Haven, the countless innocent people you killed, and my child that I could not even…” her voice broke with emotion. but it only added anger and hatred in her eyes, “every loss I suffered, every scare you left on me…I will kill you for them all.”

“Wonderful, I am glad we are on the same page now,” Ryker snorted like a deranged bull as blood appeared in his eyes, “If I don’t make you cry tears of blood before I consume your soul then I am not the King of Dark Magic!” roaring, he charged at Seraphina like an enraged bear as she advanced towards him.

At that moment Asher used his curse energy and threw Lily and Austin far away from harm along with Alpha Gideon’s body. “Get to the safety of the ruins!” he shouted.

They nodded as Asher’s curse burnt down all the curses trying to chase after them. Picking Alpha Gideon’s body up, Austin ran into the woods until he met up with Mace.

As Austin lay Alpha Gideon on the ground, Mace checked his pulse and closed his eyes in regret and sorrow.

“Where is everyone? We all have to get to the ruins immediately!” Austin quickly stated.

“Alpha Jude took Grace away and Spencer took Alpha Hugo. I don’t know where they are but they are safe,” Mace quickly explained.

“And Alpha Darious?” Lily quickly asked.

Mace looked around in alarm, “He was here with me right before you two arrived!”

“Then where did he disappear to?!”

A tense silence fell among three of them before all of their hearts beat in dread.
