THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW
Felix stood in the hallway, watching the couple leave, and chuckled softly to himself. “Young couples are really cute,” he muttered under his breath. But then, his gaze shifted to Austin, who stood beside him with a bored expression. “What’s wrong?”
“Cute couples annoy me,” Austin groaned.
Spencer, standing on the other side of Felix, murmured, “You stole the words right from my mouth. Just watching those cute couples makes my skin crawl.”
Felix glanced between the two of them, raising an eyebrow. “How old are you two, if I may ask?”
“Twenty-six,” Austin replied.
“Twenty-four,” Spencer added.
Felix blinked in surprise. “And your soulmates? Never had a girlfriend?”
“In high school,” Spencer answered nonchalantly.
“Too busy for one,” Austin mumbled, shrugging.
Felix forced a tight smile. “I see.” With that, he resumed walking.
Austin and Spencer exchanged a look, frowning at Felix’s reaction as the old wizard walked ahead.
Austin growled, “Hey, old man, what do you mean by that, huh?”
“Did you just make fun of me?!” Spencer demanded.
Felix didn’t speak but his smile was enough to make them feel like he was silently labeling them virgins.
Felix looked over his shoulder and smirked. “Just my nine hundred years of experience talking. Those who never had any experience with love and hate cute couples end up with extremely cute soulmates.”
Spencer choked, and Austin was left speechless as Felix’s laughter echoed down the hallway.
The two stared at each other in silence for a moment before clearing their throats.
Austin spoke first, “Why are you here?”
Spencer coolly replied, “Got the wedding invitation for the Alpha Queen and the Lycan King, of course.” Then he added with a proud smile, “I’m from the groom’s side.”
Austin gave a bitter smile. “I see.”
