When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 105

Of course, Yosef saw it. A man who had reached his position at such a young age possessed an intelligence and shrewdness far beyond that of an ordinary person.

Joaquin watched him eagerly, desperate to see a flicker of disgust or repulsion on his face. But he was disappointed. After a few seconds, Yosef’s expression remained as cold and unreadable as ever, his composure unshaken. He simply stood there in silence.

Beside him, Henrietta, whose knuckles had been white from gripping her purse, had slowly relaxed her hands. She stood just as straight, her beautiful face impassive, showing no hint of emotion.

Joaquin frowned. It was well-known in their circles that both of them were cool and reserved, but seeing them together now was like looking at two marble statues. Still, he waited patiently.

Finally, Yosef spoke, “Are you done?”

“Is there more you’d like to hear?” Joaquin retorted.

The words were barely out of his mouth when Yosef’s leg shot out, his foot connecting squarely with Joaquin’s stomach. The force of the kick sent Joaquin stumbling backward, and he collapsed to his knees with a thud.

It was the ultimate humiliation!

“Boss!” Joaquin’s bodyguards cried out, rushing forward, only to be stopped by Yosef’s men, who calmly drew their firearms and aimed. Yosef’s guards were specially licensed to carry weapons; they weren’t ordinary bodyguards, but highly trained mercenaries.

The Sargent family’s security team surged forward as well. “What do you think you’re doing? This is the Sargent estate! Do you really think we’ll just stand by and watch?”

The situation was about to explode.

“I’m fine,” Joaquin managed, coughing as he struggled to his feet. He knew better than to go head-to-head with Yosef. The man was on another level entirely. His power was immense, his resources deep, and no one truly knew the full extent of his influence.
