Despite her words, she only squirmed for a moment before Matteo pinned her down and placated her in the way he knew best.
They hadn’t been intimate much this past week. The truth was, Matteo was disgusted. Every time he looked at her, he remembered her licking Henrietta’s shoe, and he just couldn’t perform.
But now, Artina was clinging to him, demanding a real kiss. He tried to avoid her tongue, but she had noticed his hesitation before. This time, she wouldn’t let it go.
“Are you disgusted by me?” she asked directly.
Trapped, Matteo had no choice but to push down his nausea and lie. “No.”
...
That night, after her video call with Yosef, Henrietta went to bed.
Once the call ended, Calvert asked, “Aren’t you going to tell her you’re coming back soon?”
Yosef put down his phone. “I want to surprise her.”
Calvert smiled. “A fine idea.” He couldn’t help but add, “Henrietta really is wonderful. So calm and well-behaved. She never pesters you.”
“I know.” Yosef picked up his phone again, checking his messages. He saw that Henrietta had finally started using his card. The purchases were small, everyday expenses, but each notification was a pleasant reminder that he had a wife, a family to provide for. It was a comforting feeling, a sign that he was no longer alone.
Seeing Yosef staring at the payment notifications, Calvert grinned.
Yosef tapped his long fingers on the desk, a thoughtful frown on his face. “She’s spending too little.”
Calvert nearly choked. “She is… a little frugal. But does she really have much to spend on?”
Henrietta had a fleet of cars at her disposal. She lived at Elysium Manor, where the butler handled all expenses, so she never had to worry about household costs. Whenever a new collection of clothes, jewelry, or bags was released, the brands sent them directly to the manor for her to choose from. Her main expenses were for meals and small items while at work. To Yosef, the amounts were negligible.
“That’s true under normal circumstances,” Yosef mused. “But if one wants to spend money… there are always ways.”
“Henrietta is certainly more economical than Ms. Leland was,” Calvert noted.
Britney had been a university student who loved shopping, traveling, hosting parties, and attending auctions—all expensive hobbies. Henrietta’s life was much more structured, her needs more practical. Of course, the Sargent family could afford a lavish lifestyle, and Henrietta hadn’t hesitated to spend billions on her company. Perhaps her quiet nature meant she simply wasn’t interested in extravagant consumption.
Yosef was silent for a moment. “Find a way to make her spend more.”
“Yes, sir!” Calvert agreed enthusiastically. A woman as beautiful as Henrietta deserved to be showered with luxuries, and it wasn’t like Mr. Nash was short on cash.
An idea suddenly struck Yosef. “I want each of you to prepare a proposal for me.”
“Regarding what?” Calvert asked.
“The creation of a new division within Y-N Group,” Yosef announced. “It will be named after Henrietta. We will build her… an empire.”
Calvert’s jaw dropped. “You mean…”
