When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 162

A simple background, a single marriage certificate. It looked a bit solitary, yet it made a quiet, powerful statement.

As for the caption, Henrietta thought for a long time, worried she wouldn’t get it right. Finally, she had a lazy thought: why not just use the same caption as him? He had written, “Finally.” What if she wrote “Finally” too?

She typed it out but then hesitated, wondering if it would seem too perfunctory. She had genuinely considered it, but to avoid looking careless, she deleted the text and kept thinking.

When inspiration failed her, she even consulted Charlotte and Winona, whose suggestions were more absurd than helpful.

Winona proposed, “Be direct. Two words: ‘He’s mine!’”

Charlotte offered, “I also have two words: ‘My husband!’”

“Okay, you two can go to bed now,” Henrietta replied dryly.

They both fell silent.

Finally, an idea struck her. She typed it out, but just before hitting ‘post,’ she felt the word carried a weight she couldn’t quite place. She had written: “Forever.” She reconsidered. They had no emotional attachment; it felt too sentimental. Her only reason for posting was because Yosef had, and it seemed wrong not to reciprocate.

At last, her eyes lit up. She had found the perfect word: “Hello.” She set the post to be visible only to select friends and published it.

She slept soundly that night.

The next day, Henrietta woke early, got ready, and drove to her parents’ house, arriving just in time for breakfast.

Hector and Sabrina were naturally curious about her married life.

Hector grumbled, “Yosef is being rather inconsiderate, don’t you think? It’s been so long, and he still hasn’t come back, not even for a short trip. He found the time to fly back when you were just meeting, but now that you’re married, he’s been gone for ages.”

Before Henrietta could respond, Sabrina interjected, “What are you talking about? He has a massive corporation to run. Now that they’re family, we need to be more understanding. You were happy enough when you signed that contract, but now you’re complaining about a minor issue. You’re impossible to please.”

Hearing her parents bicker, Henrietta smiled softly. This was happiness.

“I’m not unhappy with him,” Hector clarified. “I just feel bad for Henrietta.”

“Dad, I don’t feel bad at all. What’s there to feel bad about? Mom didn’t complain when you were so busy you didn’t come home for a month,” Henrietta pointed out.

“We’re an old married couple. You’re newlyweds. It’s not the same,” Hector insisted.

“He’ll be back soon,” Henrietta said.

Hector, behaving like a child, pressed, “How soon is soon?”
