When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 220

Yosef’s primary concern was Henrietta’s health. He didn’t want her to catch a cold. “Go take your bath first.”

Henrietta nodded and turned to go. The chill was really starting to set in.

“Henrietta,” Yosef said suddenly. “What is your bra size?”

He had touched her last night; he knew she was full and shapely. But he had absolutely no knowledge of sizing.

Despite the cold she felt, Henrietta’s face flushed with warmth. She turned, quickly told him the size, and then hurried into the bathroom with the maid.

Yosef repeated the size to himself to commit it to memory. Just then, Henrietta turned back. “Oh, and please make sure they brew enough ginger coffee. Leticia got wet, too.”

“I will,” Yosef replied.

The scalding hot bath did wonders, and Henrietta finally felt comfortable again. The clothes Calvert had sent over consisted of a cashmere coat, a loose-fitting, casual sweater, straight-leg wool trousers, and a pair of soft, fluffy slippers. The entire outfit was in a creamy white, the fabric and cut of exceptional quality. It was from a top international luxury brand and was clearly very expensive. It suited her perfectly.

When she emerged, Yosef was waiting for her in the sitting area of the bedroom. He had also changed into fresh clothes: a black waistcoat, a white shirt, and black trousers, which gave him an even more formidable air.

His usually cool eyes lit up when he saw her. She truly looked beautiful in everything.

On the table was a steaming bowl of dark liquid and a jewelry box. Henrietta’s eyebrows rose. The box was familiar. Was that… Stargaze?

What was it doing here?

“I had someone bring it from Elysium Manor,” Yosef explained.

“What for?” she asked, puzzled. Such an ornate and precious set of jewelry was only suitable for the most formal and grand occasions.

Yosef took her hand and gently pulled her down to sit beside him. “It’s meant to be worn,” he said with a smile, opening the box.

Yosef took out the necklace and began to fasten it around her neck. As he leaned in, his clean, crisp scent mixed with his distinct masculine presence, a captivating combination.

“Is this… appropriate?” Henrietta asked, surprised. “It’s just a family dinner. And will it even look good with this outfit? Won’t it be too gaudy?”

After securing the clasp, Yosef studied her. “Who says it can only be worn with a gown? It’s just as beautiful for everyday wear. See for yourself.”

He had a maid bring a mirror. When Henrietta saw her reflection, she gasped. She had never imagined that a piece like Stargaze could be worn so casually. The colored gemstones were vibrant yet elegant, bold yet graceful. Against the soft, creamy white of her outfit, it was absolutely stunning. She couldn't tear her eyes away.

“It’s beautiful,” she murmured.

After the maid left, he turned back to her, returning to their previous conversation. “Your personality is not unlikable. The problem is with Leticia.”

Henrietta looked at him. “Did they send her the ginger coffee?”

“Yes,” Yosef confirmed. “But she was the one who made a scene and acted unreasonably. You shouldn’t blame yourself. This is your first time visiting the estate with me, and she behaved with no respect. By rights, she should be punished severely, to teach her a lesson before her behavior gets worse.”

“I accidentally fell in. She didn’t push me,” Henrietta said. “Let’s just drop it and move on, okay?”

“Henrietta,” Yosef said, his gaze serious. “This is your home too. You don’t have to endure being treated unfairly, especially not for my sake.”

She paused, then her lips softened. “I know. And I don’t feel wronged. I understand where she’s coming from.”

Just then, the maid returned with the cold medicine and a glass of warm water. Yosef handed them to her and watched as she obediently took the pills.

He was about to say something more, but she spoke first. “Trust me. I really can handle this.”

The relationship between sisters-in-law was a common challenge; there was no need to be overly dramatic about it.

Looking into her beautiful, determined eyes, Yosef finally nodded. “Alright.”
