When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 266

Yes, everything Artina had done was utterly shocking, yet, maddeningly, none of it was illegal.

"Since she's so greedy and desperate to climb the social ladder, then let's give her what she wants. Let her have all the glory in the world, and then make it so she can never get back up again! We'll make her life a living hell, a thousand times worse than death. Only then will I feel avenged!"

Jethro's voice, usually so gentle, was now laced with a vicious, overwhelming hatred.

Hearing this, Henrietta finally let out a breath of relief.

She nodded firmly, her tone serious. "Alright. Don't worry, I will... not disappoint you."

Jethro took a deep breath and covered his face with one hand. "Henrietta, I finally understand you completely."

He understood why Henrietta hadn't exploded with grief after being betrayed, but had instead remained calm and composed, meticulously planning her revenge.

He also understood why, despite having the power to crush them in an instant, she had insisted on this elaborate plan to build them up just to tear them down.

She was steadfast, unwilling to abandon it.

Because a direct, swift punishment would be far from enough.

Just then, Yosef spoke up. "Henrietta has always been calm, collected, and thorough in her actions. It doesn't matter whether you understand or not. Even if you objected for the sake of your own pride, I would still support her."

Jethro gave a bitter smile. "What does pride even matter now?"

His voice turned harsh again. "Failing to make them pay like this... that would be the real loss of dignity!"

After being deceived and manipulated so thoroughly, why should they settle for a quiet, private revenge?

That would be the true disgrace.

Henrietta felt a sense of relief. "Good, I understand what you mean. In that case, you should stay out of it. Just be an observer and wait for my plan to come to fruition."

"Okay," Jethro agreed. "I know you still have to deal with them professionally. But I have a few ideas of my own."

Hendrietta raised an eyebrow. "What kind of ideas?"

Jethro said, "I can leave Artina alone for now, to cooperate with your plan. But the Harmon family... I don't want to let them off the hook."

Hearing this, Henrietta's brow slowly furrowed. "But..."

"Don't worry," Jethro assured her. "It won't interfere with your plan. I'll only target the Harmon family. The only reason I'm not going after Artina myself is out of respect for you; you insisted on protecting her, since she's a valuable asset for your company. Once the Harmons go bankrupt, Artina will have to rely on you even more to become an international star, won't she?"

Hendrietta understood. This would actually make her plan even more effective.

When that time came, Artina's only path forward would be to focus entirely on her acting career.

"Alright," Henrietta said. "We'll do it your way."

"Good," Jethro replied. "And rest assured, I won't reveal anything I shouldn't. We're on the same side now, Henrietta."

"I know," Henrietta said. "I'm just glad you've come to terms with it and aren't suffering anymore."

Jethro didn't answer.

So Henrietta continued, "Get some rest. I'm hanging up now."

After she ended the call, Yosef slowly raised an eyebrow. "'On the same side'? None of this would have happened if he hadn't been so obsessed with finding his long-lost childhood crush."

Hendrietta said, "But the outcome isn't so bad, is it? I'm happy as long as it doesn't disrupt my plans. In fact, this gives me even more leverage."

After all, from her position, it would have been difficult to go after the Harmon family directly.

Now, with Jethro taking the lead, it was perfectly logical and justified.
