When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 308

Calvert couldn't resist one last jab. "It's true. Your wife isn't some hanger-on who follows you everywhere. I bet in a little while, you'll be the one wanting to follow her around." Yosef glared at him. "Are you looking to be punished?" "You shouldn't be too clingy, sir," Calvert advised. "I've heard that women can get tired of men who are too needy." Yosef was silent. "You talk too much nonsense," he finally said. "One more word out of you and you can forget about this year's bonus." Calvert didn't dare push his luck further. "You were the one who asked," he muttered, quickly making his escape. Back at her company, Henrietta reviewed the upcoming business deals and international projects for Matteo and Artina. Winona had prepared everything; it just needed her final approval. After looking it over, Henrietta remarked, "So everything will be wrapped up by April of next year. To be safe, let's budget until June, but no later than August." Winona smiled knowingly. "Time for the big reveal?" After the show's finale, Matteo and Artina's schedule was packed solid with commercial engagements. The ads and endorsement deals were the quickest part, mostly involving photo shoots and promotional events for the brands. Then came the streaming and interview recordings, which took more time but could be slotted in efficiently. The only downside was that the two of them would be spinning like tops, with every moment outside of sleep tightly scheduled. But that was normal for people earning what they did. It was now early November. The company had concentrated all their commercial work between early November and mid-December. After that, they would seamlessly transition into the international film project Henrietta had prepared for them, which would begin shooting in late December and finish by April. It was a movie with an unlimited budget. If there was one thing Ms. Sargent had in abundance, it was money. By April, they would be international sensations, just in time for a major international awards ceremony in the middle of the month, where Henrietta planned for them to win. After that, fame and fortune would come pouring in. There would be no shortage of commercial offers, but by then, Henrietta would be selective, accepting only high-end deals to elevate their prestige. She would give them a month and a half to bask in their glory. And after that ecstasy… came endless hell. They would be so thoroughly disgraced they would never get up again. Their reputations would be permanently stained—a true social death. To top it off, they would be sued for breach of contract by every brand they endorsed and would hopefully rot in jail. The setup was a bit long, but it didn't matter. Constructing their pedestals just to shatter them with her own hands—that was the ultimate poetic justice. It was the only fitting retribution for their vicious, elaborate schemes. She was lucky she had found out ahead of time. What if she hadn't? What if she had continued to be deceived? Then she would be the one cast into hell. And if she were in hell, who would have shed a tear for her? Therefore, she wouldn't just dispose of them quietly. She had to send them to hell and make sure they stayed there forever. Henrietta nodded, a slow, dangerous smile curving her lips. “Yes. Summer—bright, sunny, and the perfect season for a reckoning. The thought alone is so satisfying!" It had been a long time since Henrietta had felt this happy. The grand plan she had been orchestrating for so long was finally halfway complete. All that was left was to reap what she had sown.
