When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 343

How had she suddenly fallen back into such a narrow-minded trap?

She should be carefree. Nothing could hold her back anymore.

When Yosef was good to her, she should happily enjoy it.

And if one day he wasn't, she should face that with composure.

Life was never a straight line; it was a curve.

She admitted she had been a little smitten before, but now she wanted to retract those feelings.

She didn't know if she could do it completely, but it was worth a try.

That afternoon, Yosef came to pick her up from work.

Henrietta got into the car, her expression perfectly normal.

She had pushed down the surge of cautious emotions, decided to ignore them, and didn't ask any more questions about Britney.

As soon as she was settled, Yosef, as usual, pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

Henrietta didn't resist; she accepted it calmly.

In fact, she responded with enthusiasm, more proactive than ever before.

Yosef seemed a little surprised by this, and his kiss deepened with more fire.

This, in turn, unlocked a new kind of sensation for Henrietta.

Setting aside everything else, Yosef was undeniably a top-tier, handsome man.

And the richest man in the world.

Handsome and wealthy.

Whether he loved her or not didn't seem so important anymore. At least, she was the one kissing him, sleeping with him.

His wife was her. The one who could rightfully spend his money was her.

Not anyone else.

At least for now, it was her, her, and still her. Everything was her.

Worst case, she could just think of Yosef as her personal boy toy, one who existed solely for her pleasure. Wouldn't that be perfect?

Yosef didn’t press further, only pursing his lips. “As long as you’re happy. When you’re happy, I’m happy.”

Henrietta’s lips curved into a charming smile. She leaned in and gave Yosef a quick, playful kiss on the lips. “Mm-hmm.”

Yosef’s eyebrows shot up even higher.

He felt that she was different from before, that something about her had changed.

Joaquin would probably never have guessed that the things he said, while true, were intended to mess with her mind.

But unexpectedly, instead of causing her to break down…

They had led her to a breakthrough.

Back at Elysium Manor, the two had their usual warm and cozy dinner.

After washing up and getting ready, they went to bed together.

In that domain, Yosef's passion was as reliable as ever.

Once in bed, he didn't waste time with words, pulling her into his arms, kissing her, his strong hands roaming her body and lighting a fire within her.
