When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 361

"Go ahead," Henrietta said coldly. "You have a great sister, that much is true."

"Your sister... is quite exceptional," Henrietta said, her lips pressed together. "So, you should really think about her and stop dragging her down."

Joaquin seemed slightly surprised by her words, slowly raising an eyebrow. "You think my sister is exceptional?"

Henrietta spoke frankly, her voice calm and even, as if merely stating a fact. "Isn't she?"

"She's already a top-tier scientist at such a young age. She dated a prominent billionaire, turned down his proposals twice, and managed to make a graceful exit while still remaining friends. How is that not exceptional?"

Joaquin looked even more intrigued. "Such high praise? Shouldn't you view her as an enemy?"

"She hasn't done anything to me, so why would I see her as an enemy?" Henrietta replied.

Joaquin was thoroughly surprised, but he had said his piece. He stood up and said, "Alright. Let's see how long it takes for my sister to get Yosef to release the project."

Henrietta ignored him, and he left.

Winona, who had overheard the entire conversation, was fraught with worry.

She stepped forward and said, "That Joaquin is really bad news."

"He seems like..."

Winona couldn't quite put her finger on it at the moment.

Henrietta thought for a second and said, "He seems hellbent on making my life miserable. He has several motives."

Winona nodded. "He's... forcing your hand."

"Yeah," Henrietta agreed.

Looking serious, Henrietta continued, "Whether it's to get his hands on me or to reignite the old flame between his sister and Yosef, his agenda covers all the bases."

"What if he keeps this up?" Winona asked worriedly.

Given their ages and backgrounds, both Winona and Charlotte Tatum were perfect matches for the Leland family.

Simply put, based on qualifications alone, Henrietta was the top choice. But since she was married, Winona and Charlotte were definitely viable alternatives.

That was only in terms of compatibility, though. Whether Charlotte and Winona would ever agree to it was an entirely different story.

As for the rest of the socialites... Henrietta ran through the list in her head. From what she knew, they either lacked the financial pedigree or the age gap was too wide.

They were either way too old or way too young.

But if Joaquin wasn't clinging to her for his own twisted agenda, things might be different.

If he genuinely wanted to settle down, he could easily find someone.

And if he was willing to lower his standards for family wealth, the pool of younger women would actually be quite large.
