When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 38

Back then, in a fit of sentimentality, she had even chosen a name related to him: Matt-Mirage Media.

Winona nodded emphatically. "Absolutely! We'll change it right away! To what?"

"Henri-Mirage," she replied.

Winona and Charlotte broke into smiles. "I love it!"

From Matt-Mirage to Henri-Mirage. From a company created for Matteo to one reclaimed by Henrietta herself.

The three of them walked into the building. The way the employees looked at Henrietta was completely different now—a mix of awe and respect.

But to Henrietta’s annoyance, Matteo, Jolie, and Leon were standing in the lobby. They were all smiles, holding bags of gifts and acting as if the disastrous scene at the party had never happened.

"What a way to start the morning," Winona muttered under her breath. "Seeing this disgusting garbage first thing."

The trio immediately rushed forward. Matteo was the first to speak, holding out a breakfast bag. "Darling," he said softly, "I brought you breakfast."

The bruises on his face had mostly faded, leaving only a faint discoloration. He was still handsome. At six-foot-one, with a well-maintained physique from his acting career, he cut an impressive figure. His features were strong and classic, giving him an air of righteousness. He had his assets, which was probably why Artina had been so determined to steal him.

But physical assets were worthless in the face of real capital. Without Henrietta, Matteo was nothing. A so-called 'award-winning actor.'

He eagerly opened the bag. "Look, I got you fresh milk and your favorite crab buns."

He gazed at her with a tender, ardent expression, as if nothing had ever gone wrong between them.

Jolie also presented her offerings. "Leon and I got you some treats, too. Fresh imported fruit! It was my fault for not watching Jayden properly. Don't worry, we've disciplined that little brat harshly. He'll never do it again! If he does, I'll skin him alive!"

"And I have no interest in your trash, either. Throw it all away. Do you really think anything you buy off the street counts as 'fresh and imported'? How pathetic."

With that, Henrietta turned and walked away, the sharp, confident click of her heels echoing through the lobby.

Winona and Charlotte followed her. As they passed, Charlotte deliberately threw a smug look at Matteo's group. "Do you have any idea what the Sargent family's monthly grocery bill is? It's a lot more than that pathetic engagement ring you bought."

Then she too swept past them.

"Matteo!" Jolie whispered, her voice trembling with rage. "Did you see that? She's so condescending! This fruit cost me over two hundred dollars!"

"Shut up!" Matteo hissed. "Haven't you embarrassed us enough? Let's go!"

The lobby was full of employees, and many of them were watching. His face was burning with humiliation.
