Who Knew My Assigned Mechanic Husband Was a Big Shot? novel Chapter 141

An hour ago, while Logan Lennox was supervising tactical drills, he noticed Leo West limping.

He walked over to ask about it, but Leo mumbled evasively.

Logan had no choice but to order him, "Roll up your pant leg. Let me see!"

Unable to defy his commander, Leo reluctantly rolled up his pant leg.

One look was all it took; more than half of Leo's right thigh was covered in dark purple bruises.

Judging by the severity, it had to be an injury sustained during their previous deployment.

"You're hurt this badly, and you're still out here pushing yourself?" Logan scolded him.

Leo was still a bit reluctant. "I told you, it's fine."

Logan's temper flared. "Since when did you become so stubborn?"

Leo had no choice but to roll up his pant leg again.

Seeing the state of it, Hugo couldn't help but gasp. "Whoa, with an injury like this, why are you only coming in now? We need to apply a topical treatment right away."

Logan nodded. "Do it. Treat it however you need to, just make sure he heals fully."

Hugo straightened up. "Of course!"

Logan left the consultation room and walked across the street from the hospital, pulling out a cigarette.

Just as he lit it, he immediately crushed it out.

The island wind was strong, and it wouldn't be good if the smoke drifted into one of the patient wards.

Instead, he stood by the road, gazing up at the front of the hospital.

Suddenly, he spotted a familiar shirt hanging on the top-floor balcony.

He remembered being back at Valentine Towers, the first time he had pressed Sloane Sutton down onto the sofa. She had been wearing that exact shirt.

Sloane...
