Who Knew My Assigned Mechanic Husband Was a Big Shot? novel Chapter 210

His finger traced a path to a specific cluster on the map. "This is an industrial park near the commercial port. It's an absolute nightmare. We have our citizens mixed with over two hundred local refugees trapped inside. The port is ground zero for the heaviest fighting, and the crossfire hasn't stopped for days.

Your objective is the extraction of all civilians trapped in that industrial park!"

Logan's expression darkened. He pointed to the perimeter of the facility. "What does their defense look like? Have the rebels breached the wire?"

"Not yet, but they have the entire compound surrounded. The walls could fall at any minute."

Kaelen let out a heavy breath. "The commercial tower is holding for now, but they've been without power or water for forty-eight hours. The civilians are breaking down, and our security detail inside is running out of ammo."

Danielle suddenly spoke up. "Kaelen, the defensive perimeters my team laid down last time—are they still intact?"

Kaelen's eyes lit up. "Yes! Thank God you had the foresight to build those fortifications at the tower and the park. If you hadn't, the rebels would have slaughtered everyone inside days ago."

Leo looked entirely lost. "Captain Ziegler, what the hell were you doing here six months ago? Setting up fortifications, running black ops... this is insane."

The rest of the team stared at Danielle, their minds racing with unanswered questions.

Logan watched her thoughtfully. He knew now that whatever she had been doing overseas was buried in classified files, and it was deeply tied to the war raging around them.

Sensing the squad's tension, Danielle addressed them directly. "Before Solisia went hot, my op was strictly classified. Now that the war has kicked off, the need-to-know restrictions are lifted. Once we get these people out, I'll brief you on everything."

The team exchanged wide-eyed looks.

"Alright, we're burning daylight!" Logan barked, snapping their focus back to him. "We move on the industrial park now. Remember, primary objective is civilian extraction. Avoid engaging local hostiles if possible. But if they force our hand... we drop them."

"Yes, sir!" the team roared in unison.
