"My God," Dan muttered, sizing Logan up from head to toe.
Sure, Logan was built like a tank, but the guy couldn't even perform in the bedroom. A guy like that had to be all glamour muscles, right?
Him, fighting off lions and tigers?
Impossible. Absolutely impossible.
Dan didn't buy a single word of it.

The rest of the couples slowly began trickling out of the forest.
Some collapsed into the dirt the moment they hit the shoreline.
Some clung to each other, sobbing from the stress.
And a few were still screaming at each other, vowing to file for divorce the second they got home.
Finally, the GFA staff materialized.
"So? Did everyone enjoy the game?"
Aside from the couples threatening divorce, everyone enthusiastically cheered.
The coordinator smiled. "While we said winning didn't matter, several couples truly displayed exceptional teamwork and agility. Not only did they emerge completely unscathed, but they even managed to take down the apex predators."
A large projector screen slowly lowered by the lake, and the staff played a highlight reel of the jungle run.
"Whoa!"
The footage showed Logan unleashing hell on the tiger.
He was completely unfazed, lethally precise, flawlessly agile, and perfectly positioned to shield his wife at all times.
Even Dan was mesmerized.
He turned to Logan, humbled. "Man, I didn't see that coming. You've got serious moves. You play a lot of paintball or something?"
Logan just offered a faint smile and stayed quiet.
Next up was Dan's highlight reel.
The crowd erupted into a mix of cheers and laughter.
Dan had picked a gun and an axe, swapping between them but favoring the axe. With Macy clamped to his torso, he charged forward, swinging the axe wildly like a deranged lumberjack.
He looked like an over-the-top action movie spoof.
