Who’s the Dog Now? novel Chapter 244

Tiffany stroked her stomach and said expectantly, “You'd better be in there. We have to get pregnant. Then our future will be set!”

...

When Naomi got back to her dorm, she saw Patricia waiting at the door.

“I figured you'd be getting back around now.”

Patricia pulled her inside and pushed her down into a chair, looking down at her. “Tell me, are you still single?”

Naomi: “Huh?”

She stared at Patricia, completely bewildered. “What do you mean, single or not single?”

Why was Patricia asking such a random question?

“I saw what happened with Zebulon's public proposal.”

“You didn't take him back, did you?”

“Naomi, if you did, I would seriously lose all respect for you.”

“How did you know?”

Patricia simply turned on her phone screen and showed it to Naomi.

That's when Naomi realized someone had been live-streaming the whole thing on the school forum.

Naomi was speechless. “Don't these people have anything better to do? Did their theses write themselves?”

Live-streaming something like that on the forum... they must be bored out of their minds.

“Forget about all that nonsense! Just tell me, are you still single?”

Patricia was already mentally preparing to take Naomi to a doctor.

If Naomi said 'no,' she was ready to book an appointment with an ophthalmologist immediately.

Patricia didn't care about that old saying about never breaking up a couple. All she knew was that chasing Zebulon had caused Naomi nothing but suffering, leaving her with deep emotional and physical scars.

If Naomi was going to forget all the pain and only remember the good, Patricia would be the first to object.

This time, she'd drag her best friend back to the right path, even if she had to tie her up to do it.

“No, it's not that!”

Naomi shot Patricia a look. “Do I seem like the kind of person who goes back for seconds? When I say I don't care anymore, I mean it. I'm just conflicted about something else.”

Patricia asked curiously, “What is it?”

Naomi hesitated. She really needed someone to talk to about this, so she ended up telling Patricia what happened at the hospital.

“Do you think... Lennon will be angry? Does he think I'm being too forward?”

Patricia's eyes widened. “Holy crap, how is that any different from a confession? Are you sure Lennon agreed?”
