Chapter 64

Realizing what I had eaten, I furrowed my brow and used my tongue to push the medicine out.

Lucian rolled up the pill, deepening the kiss, forcing me to swallow it, along with his breath.

“Mmph I emitted a sob of protest.

Lips were sealed.

My protests were like a cat meowing, resembling hooks, hooking people’s wild imaginations.

Lucian’s Julian’s apple bobbed as his large hand threaded through my subtly flowing long hair, intensifying the kiss even more.

He didn’t release my lips until he almost suffocated me with the kiss.

His thumb gently caressed the swollen lips that he had kissed, desire swirling in his eyes.

His fingers fell on the collar of my nightgown, unbuttoning it one by one.

His kiss wasn’t just hunger-it was possession. A growl vibrated against my lips as his teeth grazed them, not quite biting, but close enough that my wolf stirred in answer, a whimper caught in my throat. He didn’t let me breathe, didn’t let me think, his mouth sealing over mine like a brand. Mine, the rumble in his chest said. Mine, mine, mine.

I had a feeling that Lucian was staring at me for a very long time.

He didn’t do anything.

He helped me change out of my wet pajamas.

I hummed comfortably, completely unaware.

The night grew deeper.

I took the medicine and soon my fever subsided.

I slept in a daze, feeling a chilly sensation on my cheeks, which made me slowly open my eyes.

Lucian’s well-defined handsome face, his broad shoulders with muscles rippling under his shirt, appeared before my eyes.

He sat by the bed, holding an ointment in his hand, and was applying it to my cheek.

The smell of this ointment was familiar.

Last time, I shook him off, causing my hand to get injured and be admitted to the Pack’s infirmary.

The next day, I woke up and also smelled this smell in the ward.

Lucian saw me open my eyes and he spoke in a deep voice, “You never asked me for help?”

If I had complied, I would not have been taken away by the Alpha’s warriors.

My eyes turned cold in an instant. My cheeks were washed and medication was applied, so the pain had subsided. However, everything I had experienced in The Alpha’s Judgment Chamber still remained deeply imprinted in my mind.

“Did he mean that everything I experienced in jail, was it my own fault since I didn’t ask him for help?” I raised my hand and pushed Lucian away, my face filled with indifference. Lucian, I won’t beg you for anything, never. Don’t pretend to be sympathetic towards me, I don’t need it

Seren, you can’t just pretend not to understand” Lucian’s face suddenly darkened.

Did I really not care at all?” I laughed coldly, but the smile didn’t reach my eyes.

Lucian, your sympathy here will never erase the hurt you gave me, do you understand?”

I didn’t send anyone to hurt you in the judgement chamber. For the first time ever, Lucian explained something to me.
