Chapter 205 Crazy in Love, Crazy in Pain
“Love is felt, not just said.”
His words died down, and the car came to a stop.
“Elias, are you coming in?” Stella asked.

Elias shook his head, brushing a hand gently through her hair. “I have to head back to handle work first.”
He had to get Nolan out of Azure Peak City before their engagement. He didn’t drive away until he watched her walk safely into the house.
Night fell. Stella had just laid down when she sensed something off downstairs. She was always sharp and alert, and sleep vanished in an instant.
She went down to find Lily staring anxiously at the front door.
“Lily,” Stella called.
“Miss Shaw, why are you up?” Lily asked, hurrying over to drape a coat over her s She’d seen plenty of chaos in her time and didn’t panic easily. “Don’t go outside, 1.
“What’s going on?”
“A foreign man is here to see you. Mr. Moore won’t let him in, and his men are trying to force their way through the gate,” Lily explained.
Stella already knew who it was. She stepped outside, and Lily rushed after her.
“Stella.” Nolan’s eyes lit up the second he saw her.
“I brought her here. Do whatever you want with her,” he said, shoving someone forward.
Stella stared for a long moment before she realized the battered figure was Seraphina. Her face was black and blue, her head and eyebrows completely shaved–she looked utterly wretched. Nolan certainly had a unique way of punishing people.
Tears filled Seraphina’s eyes, and she glared at Stella with pure hatred. All she’d done was say Stella was ugly. Nolan had shaved her head and eyebrows, grabbed her by the neck, and smashed her forehead into a mirror, making her look at how hideous she was. When she’d claimed to be his fiancée, he’d flown into a rage and beaten her until she took it back.
“Stella Shaw, I slept with your man. How does that make you feel?” Seraphina spat, trying to please Nolan and disgust Stella all at once.

“Elias has no interest in you,” Stella said flatly.
Nolan’s face darkened at her words. Seraphina’s chest ached a little–she wasn’t lying. Elias truly hated her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have punished her so badly for drugging him.
She let out a bitter laugh, hollow and sad in the dark. “Nolan Lane, look at her. She doesn’t love you.”
“Shut up.”
Nolan slapped her hard across the face without a second thought. Then he looked up at Stella in a panic, like a little boy who’d done something wrong. “Stella, I didn’t mean to—”
Stella cut him off, her voice cold and distant. “I don’t care about your business. Leave my house
now.”
Nolan’s heart sank. “Stella-”
“We’re not close.”
“But you saved my life!” he insisted.
“I’m a healer. Saving lives is my job,” Stella replied.
Nolan’s eyes lit up with excitement, and he took a step toward her. “You admitted it! You’re my little girl!”
Jasper stepped in front of Stella, shielding her, his gaze icy as he fixed Nolan with a stare. “Take one more step, and I won’t be nice.”
“Stella, I’m your little guy!” Nolan pleaded.
“So that gives you the right to repay my kindness with cruelty?” Stella asked, her face blank, her voice cold as ice.
“No, I- I didn’t know,” Nolan stammered.
“Take your people and get out of my driveway,” Stella ordered.
“I’m sorry. I was wrong. Stella, I’ve looked for you for years. Come with me, please?”
“Get treatment if you’re crazy.”
“I am crazy. Please, Prodigy Healer, save me,” Nolan begged.
Thud.

He dropped to the ground in an instant. The scene stunned everyone present. This was Nolan Lane–one word from him could shake all of Veyra. Now he looked like a man consumed by love, beyond reason.
“Stella,” he whispered.
Stella frowned, her face filled with impatience. Nolan’s chest ached with a sharp, sour pain.
“Prodigy Healer, please save me,” he repeated.
“Want a doctor’s appointment? Get in line first.”
A line that would take him a lifetime to get to–if he were lucky.
