Elias held the back of her head tightly. The sea breeze lifted Stella’s hair and her dress. He nipped her lip gently and kissed her possessively.
When they parted, they stared at each other tenderly, sweet smiles on their faces.
The wind messed up her hair. He lifted his hand and smoothed it softly.
Images flashed through his mind. A fond smile curved his lips, and he pinched her fair cheek lightly.
He looked at her with full affection, walking backward.
“You were so cute that year at the math competition, pouting angrily when you lost to me.”
Stella watched him as they walked, biting back a smile.
“I was so frustrated back then. I was so close to winning.”
“You still won.”
Thinking of their contest at Azure Peak University, Stella’s eyes crinkled with amusement. She raised an eyebrow. “I won more than just a competition.”
He stopped suddenly and bent down to meet her eyes. “You won my heart.”
“Bingo.”
She kissed him quickly and ran away.
Elias touched his lip and smiled. She’s shy now.
She ran, and he chased her.
Laughter echoed across the beach.
Elias wrapped his arm around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. “Stella, my are much better.”
Stella’s heart raced unconsciously, a faint blush spreading across her pale face.
“Dr. Shaw, am I allowed to exercise vigorously now?”
“Mm–hmm.”

At that, Elias hoisted her over his shoulder and quickened his pace.
“This time, I bought seven beds.”
Stella buried her face in his neck, her ears turning red.
On the day they returned to Azure Peak City, Elias and Stella had lunch with Jasper.
“Mr. Moore, this is a gift from Stella and me.”
Jasper smiled brightly.
“Thank you.” It felt wonderful to be remembered.
“Did you have a good time?”
“Yes.”
Stella and Elias looked at each other, happiness shining on their faces.
“Dad, I heard you’ve been coming home late these days. Were you working overtime?”
Stella suddenly turned serious, as if she’d figured something out.
Jasper had been caught, but he felt nothing but joy.
“How dare I work overtime when my little princess commands it?”
“Really?”
“I wouldn’t dare.”
The dignified Mr. Moore was acting a little cowardly, but his face was full of happiness.

Elias answered a call. He looked back to see the father and daughter smiling, and he smiled too.
“Alright, I understand.”
He walked over, and Stella immediately asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” He ruffled her hair. “Stella, spend some time with your dad. I’ll head back first. I’ll pick you up tomorrow.“”
He hated to leave, knowing she would start at the medical research institute the next day.

As soon as Elias left, she turned back to him. “Dad, you weren’t drinking secretly at night, were you?”
“No.”
She checked his pulse and smiled in satisfaction. “Your health is much better than before.”
“Are you relieved?”
“Good.”
Jasper decided not to keep it from her.
“It’s Jaron. He’s drinking his sorrows away. I just stayed with him. I didn’t drink.”
“Because of Amelia?”
Jasper nodded.
“He deserves it. Who told him to be so blind?”
Jasper scratched his head. He agreed his friend had it coming.
“Did he bother Amelia again?”
“It was a coincidence. She’d just ordered eight male models, so…”
Jasper didn’t know what to say. The four of them had grown up together, and none had found lasting happiness.
“Wow, Amelia’s so cool!”
“Jaron ordered several jars of restorative cream.
“No amount of cream can make him beat younger guys. He mistreated his wife when he was young. He can’t complain when he sees his ex with male models now.”
“But Dad, don’t say that. Otherwise, he won’t buy our cream anymore.”
Jasper couldn’t help flicking her forehead with his finger.

“I love making money from jerks and cutting down greedy capitalists.” She grinned. “Dad, tell Jaron I have health tonics too. They’re not expensive.”
Jasper smiled indulgently.
“Miss, have some dessert. Mr. Moore made plenty himself, knowing you’d be back.” Lily watched them with warm relief.
Ever since Stella came home, the house had been filled with happy laughter.
“Dad, your skills are getting better.”
“Eat as much as you like if you enjoy it.”
She nodded eagerly. Jasper gazed at her, utterly affectionate.
Nicole, can you see this?
When she first came home, Stellawas far too mature for her age.
Now she’s like a little girl again, laughing freely.
I will do everything to protect our daughter.
Time passed quickly. Three months had passed since Stella joined the medical research institute.
The Shaw and Monroe families were busy preparing for Kenneth and Iris‘ wedding.
