Chapter 263 A Yes Worth Waiting For
In the living room, Nadia sat beside Stella. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” Stella smiled gently.
“This is my welcome gift for you,” Nadia said.
“Stella, take it.” At Jasper’s words, Stella did not refuse. “Thank you, Aunt.”
“Leo, this is for you.”
“Thank you, Aunt.”
Nadia smiled brightly and held out two more gifts. “Sean, Shane.”
“Thank you, Aunt,” the two brothers replied in unison.
“Mark, Jasper, these are for you.”
After Mark and Jasper accepted them, they took out their own gifts.
Nadia was surprised.
“We prepared them before we came.”

Nadia, who had not felt family love for years, felt a warm ache in her chest. “Thank you all.”
Her eyes grew slightly moist, but she always hid her feelings and quickly calmed herself.
“Now that Aunt is back, stop targeting Stella. Anyone who troubles her will be taught a lesson.” After Leo spoke, everyone nodded.
“Stella, I’ll fix everything. When you’re back in Azure Peak City, no one from the Corbin family will bother you again. And as long as I’m here, ask for anything. I’ll help.” Sean felt guilty. He had caused her so much trouble.
“Thank you, Sean.”
A promise from someone like him was not to be missed.
“As long as I’m the head, no one will dare hurt my niece,” Nadia said.
“Thank you, Nadia.” Jasper breathed a sigh of relief. Despite just meeting, he trusted Nadia completely.

“Aunt, I can extend his life by ten years. But he needs rest, not stress.” Stella handed him the new medicine she had prepared.
Sean accepted it with a smile. “If Grandpa hadn’t been selfish, you would have won that competition against my father. I have no problem with you leading the family.”
“Shane, learn from me from now on,” Nadia said.
Shane froze. “Aunt, I… I can’t.”
“You can’t stay like this. At least learn to protect yourself.”
“Alright.”
That night, the family enjoyed a reunion dinner.
Over the next week, Nadia and Sean fixed the family’s internal conflicts and removed the selfish members from power.
Stella spent every day in the library, too busy to reply to Elias‘ messages.
Poor Elias called Leo every day just to hear about her.
Leo would hold up his phone so Elias could watch Stella read for hours.
“Elias, you’re using me as a phone stand.”
Elias barely heard him, too focused on Stella in the video.
Stella stretched and glanced out the window to see Elias on the screen. She smiled and waved. “I’ll go outside and video call you.”
“Okay.”
Once outside the library, Stella called him. “Elias, I miss you.”
“I miss you too.” His fingers traced her face on the screen. “Stella, when you come back, let’s get married first. Okay?”
Stella froze, then smiled softly. “If you mean at the city hall…”
She paused. Elias‘ heart raced. He held his breath and stared.
Stella smiled sweetly, her voice soft and clear. “I do.”

Elias‘ eyes reddened. He was overcome with joy. “Stella, I recorded that. You can’t take it back.”
Stella laughed. “I won’t.”
“When will you be back?” His deep voice carried all his longing.
“Tomorrow.”
