Chapter 267 Tulips and Fireworks
Elias could not stop smiling.
“I have to go back to the lab tomorrow. Will you come home with me for breakfast, to see Dad?”
“Of course.”
“I’ll tell him later.”
Jasper went up the mountain every morning. He would leave later when she was home.
After dinner, Stella touched her slightly rounded belly, looking completely satisfied.
“Shall we go for a walk, or go back to sleep?”
“Let’s walk around the yard.”
It was not her first time at Cloudreach Manor, but she had never really looked around.
“Elias, we’ll have to put our wedding off.”
“You focus on your work. I’ll handle everything else.”
Elias patted her head with gentle affection.
“Choose the honeymoon spot. I’ll just follow you, eat good food everywhere.”
“You little foodie.”
The sun set, painting the yard’s tulips in golden light. It was beautiful.
They leaned against each other, smiling happily.
“Elias, do you have fruit trees here?”
“Yeah. The loquats should be ripe.”
“Let’s pick some!”
“Alright.”

They walked through the flowers, past the pool and the stone pavilion, until they reached the orchard.
Golden loquats hung heavy on the branches. Stella lifted her skirt and ran over.
At five feet seven inches tall, she still couldn’t reach.
Elias bent slightly and lifted her with one arm, letting her sit on his forearm.
“Elias, I got one!”
“Good.”

“Let me taste it.”
Elias watched her fondly.
“It’s good.”
She peeled one quickly and fed it to him.
“Is it good?”
“A little sour.”
“Then I’ll make it sweeter.”
She lifted his chin and kissed him softly.
They looked at each other and smiled.
Night fell, and the lights turned on.
Fireworks burst in the sky.
“Is our family setting off fireworks?”
“Yes. To celebrate our wedding.”
They had been in a hurry the night before and hadn’t set them off.
“Elias, do you have sparklers?”
Elias blinked, confused. “What are those?”
“The little thin fireworks, really cheap!”
“Cheap?” Elias looked shocked.
“I loved them when I was little.”
“I’ll have the butler get some.”
She smiled and shook her head. “Don’t bother.”
“It’s fine,”
He stroked her hair and made a call. Sparklers arrived quickly.
“Elias, come play with me!”
She held two sparklers, spinning around joyfully.
Elias smiled softly at the sight.
“I’m coming.”

Colorful fireworks lit up the sky. They waved their sparklers, grinning happily.
The butler watched and smiled with relief.
He quickly fetched his new DSLR.
Time for some extra income.
He pressed the shutter, capturing the happy moment.

The next morning.
Stella walked in with two bouquets. “Dad, I’m home.”
“Stella’s back.”
Jasper peeked out from the kitchen, still holding a spatula.
“Elias is here too.”
“Yes, Jasper. Let me help you.”
Stella and Jasper both froze, then exchanged an amused smile.
Elias rolled up his sleeves and entered the kitchen.
“Dad, these sunflowers are for you. These yellow tulips are for Mom. Will you take them to her later?
“Sure.”
Jasper looked at the flowers, his mood bright.
Stella leaned in the doorway, watching the two handsome men. Her heart felt warm and sweet.
After a while, she helped carry the food out.
The three of them sat down for breakfast.
“Dad, I’ll be busy for a while. Call me if you need anything. The weather’s been bad, the roads are slippery. Don’t go up the mountain.”
“I understand.”
Jasper’s eyes were gentle, and he smiled warmly. “Elias, cat more.”
One side of the table was Stella’s favorites; the other was all his.
Elias felt warm inside and smiled softly. “You too, Jasper.”
The family enjoyed a peaceful, happy meal.

As they left, Jasper gave Elias a gift. “For calling me Jasper now.”
“Thank you, Jasper.”
Stella teased, Dad, where’s mine?”
Elias handed her his gift.
All three laughed together.

Before leaving, Stella hugged Jasper. “Dad, take the medicine I gave you. And light the incense I made before bed,”
“I remember everything.” He patted her head kindly.
“I’m going now.
“Take care of yourself.”
Jasper watched the black Maybach leave. Then he took the flowers and headed to Orchid Isle Cemetery.
Three months passed in the blink of an eye.
