You Are Mine Little Sister (by Syra Tucker) novel Chapter 84

RALI

I woke up to an empty bed but not an empty room.

Was it crazy that his scent was starting to stick? That terrifying mix of cedarwood, smoke and whiskey. I despised how my brain clung to his scent like it was oxygen. Like it didn't know any better.

I looked to the side of the room and found him leaning against his desk, his hands folded across his bare chest.

'Bare chest.'

He was half-naked again with just that towel around his waist. God-damn it.

How did he manage to make his way in and have a bath without me noticing? How deeply I slept could be embarrassing sometimes.

"I was starting to think I'd have to get a doctor to wake you up," he drawled.

I dragged my eyes away as I got off the bed, then checked she time on my phone. Luckily, I still had two hours to get ready for work.

I wish I didn't have to make any contact with him, but he was blocking the path leading to the bathroom.

My pulse raced with each step that took me closer to him.

His fingers locked around my wrist when I attempted to walk past him.

"You're making me think you didn't miss me, Green." Despite the softness of his voice, it was laced with the chill of a man who'd done unspeakable things without flinching.

"Maybe, I didn't."

"Sure," he chuckled. "Must explain why you kept rubbing your thighs all night."

His words hit me like a slap and the shock flickered straight to my eyes. What the...hell? Was he watching me?

I scrambled for words but was soon distracted by a shiver up my spine when he grazed his thumb against my wrist. The son of a bitch.

I yanked my hand free. "You're such a perv!"

"Hm. So, you don't deny it."

My lips fell. "I didn't—"

"Get over it, Green," he said, already turning away. "Missing me is perfectly legal. No shame in it."

.....

I honestly didn't know why I was a little irritated this morning. Actually, it started from the car when Katya made me think she'd been having sex with him.

After getting to know she was bluffing, I suddenly felt angry at myself for acting out in the first place. I'd tried deceiving my mind into thinking of a more reasonable term for my actions, but it all boiled down to the fact that I'd been jealous.

I stopped, raising a brow before scoffing. "Okay. I'm sure you know where the kitchen is."

Soulless grey eyes lifted from his laptop to mine. "I don't want to believe you're into repetition. Make me a cup of tea."

Okay. The guy was definitely delusional.

"Sorry, but I'm not your maid. If you need a chef, hire one."

I turned my back on him before the conversation could insult me further. No man had ever given me orders and he sure as hell wasn't going to be the first.

In the closet, I focused on getting dressed. My pants were on, and I was sliding my bra-top over my chest when he joined me.

I was just about to ignore him, but then I caught sight of the collar in his hand. I was ignorant of its purpose and simply stared as he ate up the distance between us.

I backed away at the very last second, but it was too late. He reached for my shoulder, spun me around and pulled me against him. My bare ass collided with the hard line of his groin, making me jolt.

"What're you doing!?" My heart jumped into panic mode.

"Something interesting."

One hand over my chest, he steadied me to himself as the other with the collar came around my throat. He pushed me against the wall, pressed his knees to my waist and successfully secured the collar.

Holy Saints!
