You Looked Down on Me Once Now You Look Up (Patricia and Oliver) novel Chapter 878

“Uncle Oliver…”

“Uncle Oliver…”

“They’re fighting…”

Sara burst into the room, eyes huge and wild, pointing frantically out toward the backyard.

Hector and Chelsea had gone from arguing to a full-on brawl, and honestly, it was scary.

She had no idea what even started it. One minute they were sniping at each other, the next, they were throwing punches.

What did she miss? Was there some juicy drama she hadn’t caught up on yet?

The second Mr. Padilla heard her, he spun around, ready to head outside, but paused. He looked back at Patricia. “Stay in here, don’t go out.”

Patricia understood she’d only make things worse if she got involved.

She just stood at the big window, stretching her neck to see what was happening outside.

She spotted Chelsea waving a barbecue skewer at Hector, yelling at him like she wanted to stab him.

Not far away, the little dog that was so clean earlier now looked like it had been through a war, slinking away with its tail between its legs.

Oliver walked over and shouted, making both Hector and Chelsea take a step back.

Chelsea threw the skewer onto a plate, clearly fuming.

Hector messed with his collar, trying to hide the fresh scratches on his neck.

What a nightmare. That woman really had claws.

“Seriously, is this worth it? You two don’t even have real feelings for each other, but here you are, ready to throw down.”

Oliver looked from Hector to Chelsea, then fixed his stare on Hector. “It’s not like you’re in some committed relationship. Why are you acting like she cheated on you?”

Friends with benefits, that’s what it was supposed to be.

Chelsea went quiet.

Hector went quiet.

A little ways off, Sara was still frozen like a deer in headlights. She tugged on Roger’s sleeve and whispered, “Roger, did they just say they were hooking up?”

Roger was quiet for a second, then nodded. “Yeah.”

“What the…?” Sara barely got the words out before Roger clapped a hand over her mouth. “Shh, keep it down. Uncle Oliver’s already mad enough.”

“If we make a sound, he’ll start tearing into us next.”

Sara nodded, shrinking behind Roger, wide-eyed and listening for every bit of gossip she could catch.

“Chelsea, you can’t just act like you don’t know me now that you’ve had your fun. You were sleeping with me while going on dates. Ever heard of morals?”

“If I had morals, you’d never have been in my life to begin with.”
