You Looked Down on Me Once Now You Look Up (Patricia and Oliver) novel Chapter 936

That night, Oliver came back to Golden Bay. Patricia was lying in bed, still feeling a little out of it after her postnatal therapy, when Chelsea came strolling in, wearing pajamas and holding her tablet.

“I found a new reality show. Come on, let’s watch it together.”

“In your room?” Patricia asked.

Chelsea blinked in surprise. “Can’t we just watch here?”

“I’ve been stuck in this bed forever. I need a change of scenery,” Patricia said. It felt like she was about to put down roots in this room for good. The house was always the perfect temperature, but every time she set foot outside, Oliver would pop up and remind her not to catch a chill. Seriously… catch a chill from what? And as for going downstairs? Forget about it. According to him, walking down the stairs would ruin her health, though he never explained what exactly would go wrong. Sometimes, Patricia wondered if what the doctors took out of her stomach wasn’t a baby, but Oliver’s brain.

“Why don’t we go to the media room?” Chelsea suggested.

“Perfect. Let’s go.”

Patricia pushed off the covers and got out of bed. Her incision wasn’t fully healed, but it was way better than before. It itched sometimes, but the raw pain from a few days ago was gone. Summer was coming soon, so Patricia threw on a cardigan.

Chelsea helped her into the elevator. While they rode down, Chelsea pulled out her phone and dialed Jackson.

“Has Jackson moved in yet?” Patricia asked.

“He’s been living here for a while,” Chelsea replied. “Dad wanted him around, just in case something happened. He said it’s good to have a man in the house, since the three of us are apparently too unreliable on our own. Oliver didn’t mind either.”

“But what about Jackson? Was he okay with it?”

Chelsea thought for a second. “I think so. He and Oliver both want you to be safe. People usually give in when it comes to stuff like this.”

Chapter 936 2

Since coming to work for Patricia, Jackson hadn’t been jolted awake at three in the morning by a whistle. He didn’t have to wonder if he’d survive another week in the rainforest.

Chapter 936 3

You don’t find real mentors often in this life. Patricia and her family were his. He owed them everything.

Patricia listened quietly, a soft smile spreading on her lips. She looked at Jackson, her eyes full of sincerity. “Thank you.”

Jackson brushed her off. “You don’t have to thank me. We’re family.”

That night, the three of them snuggled up in the media room and binged the whole show together.
