Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1010

Yanny was an intelligent person and since she was Shayne's woman, she would obviously behave.

Since Shayne had told her not to disturb him at the Luna Mansion too often, she obediently stayed in the River Road apartment Shayne gave her.

This single apartment unit was not small at all. It was about eighty square feet wide and would seem a little too big for one person to live in. It was renovated to a much simpler and modern design but the finer details and the furniture around the house looked quite expensive.

After Yanny moved into the apartment, she finally felt like she had a place she belonged to in North City even though the apartment was Shayne's.

However, there would come a day when she would be financially stable enough to afford to buy this apartment from Shayne. That way, it would be truly hers.

She had very little interaction with Shayne in that very year. It seemed that Shayne had pretty much forgotten about her existence.

Sometimes, Yanny would try to cheer herself up by thinking to herself that perhaps she was only one of Shayne's many loves and he would only come to her whenever he felt like it.

With that thought in mind, he might actually have completely forgotten about her.

She truly hoped that he did not forget about the promise he made for her.

Winter approached North City after half a year had gone by.

It was humid and cold in December in North City and frequent rains would occur at any given moment. The rainwater was so cold that it stung like tiny needles when it landed on a person's skin.

It was raining and the sky had gone dark at 7:00 p.m. in winter.

Shayne was in his black Bentley while Jake drove. He was holding onto a tablet while skimming through his schedule for the following day. He placed his tablet on a shelf after he was done.

His eyes felt tired as he looked out into the rainy night.

After the black Bentley left Jinn Group, it drove past North City Film Academy and through River Road.

Shayne noticed a familiar looking slender silhouette of a woman in the rain.

Just as Jake was about to drive by the woman, the man suddenly said from the backseats, "Stop the car."

Jake was confused as he stopped the car by the road, turned around and asked Shayne, "What's the matter, President Jinn?"

Shayne's gaze was focused on a spot directly fifty metres in front of them.

That was a young woman. She was holding onto a transparent umbrella while feeding a little stray puppy that was completely drenched in rainwater by the road.

Jake glanced toward the same direction Shayne was staring at. He was slightly stunned as he said, "Isn't that Miss Joy?"

It seemed Shayne had not seen Yanny for a really long time now. They met up so little with each other in the last six months.

Jake only remembered when Yanny first met up with Shayne. They used to see each other once per week. After that however, it seemed that Shayne had stopped meeting Yanny, so Jake never brought it up since.

Jake thought that Shayne had just lost interest in her, so Jake chuckled and said, "I never knew Miss Yanny was actually this kind."

Shayne scoffed as he watched the nearby woman feed the little puppy while holding onto an umbrella.

It was unsure if he was mocking her or just simply disagreed with Jake's comment about her kindness.

That was because Shayne was quite the difficult person to read. It was difficult to tell what he was actually thinking about.

Jake remained silent as he continued to silently watch the scene with President Jinn.

After a short moment and after Yanny was done feeding the little puppy, she left with her umbrella. However, after only taking a few steps away, she turned around in the rain and continued looking back with a concerned look.

The little stray puppy was extremely skinny and was also completely drenched in rainwater. When it shook its tail at her, it seemed as if it was begging her to bring it home.

Yanny returned to the puppy while still holding onto her umbrella.

Shayne thought that she was about to bring the puppy home with her.

However, all Yanny did was place her umbrella on the ground, shielding the little puppy's body from the rain.

Due to their distance, Shayne was unable to hear what exactly Yanny said to the little puppy.

Yanny then rushed away while covering her head with her hands toward her district.

Jake was puzzled as he asked, "Since Miss Joy was willing to leave her umbrella behind for the little puppy, why didn't she bring the little puppy home with her instead?"
