'A prostitute?'
Joy grinned sarcastically. "You think that I must be no better than a prostitute, right, Shayne?"
Shayne's jaw was tightly clenched. He gritted his teeth and his expression was gloomy.
Joy was not afraid of agitating him. "If you think that I'm no better than a prostitute, then I don't think it concerns you about how I treat myself. Didn't we agree to not interfere with each other…"
Before she could finish her sentence, Shayne had already opened the car door and pulled her in. "Get in the car."
"I don't have time to…"
Joy was shoved into the car before she could finish speaking.
In the backseat, a pair of big and animated eyes stared at Joy with intense curiosity.
Joy clenched her fists. 'What's wrong with him? He already has a mistress in his car and still wants to bring me along?' she thought.
'Isn't he afraid that this young lady might be jealous or angry?'
The black Bentley sped on the road. Joy could sense that Shayne was in a terrible mood.
Samantha pouted and grumbled, "Are you rushing into your next life, big bro?"
'Big bro?'
'What? They're roleplaying too?' Joy chuckled.
'No wonder Shayne hasn't been looking for me. Sugar babies nowadays are quite amazing.'
"I'm not even done with this life yet," Shayne replied glumly.
"Then you should drive slower. I'm scared," Samantha replied.
Shayne indeed slowed down a little, though the car was still speeding.
Joy stared at the young lady next to her. 'Is she Shayne's new pet?'
She wanted to ask the young lady next to her how much Shayne was paying her.
She did not ask her. After all, it was not very appropriate.
Shayne did not send Joy back to her apartment in River Road. Instead, the car went to Luna Mansion.
'How shameless can this man get for bringing two women home? Is he planning a threesome?' Joy thought disdainfully.
She shuddered when she thought about it.
Once the car stopped, Samantha ran out of the car, while Shayne followed behind her while carrying her backpack. "All you know is play. Take your own backpack," he reprimanded her.
Shayne tossed the backpack at his sister.
Samantha pouted. "Hmph! Can't you spare a thought for this little girl? Fine, I'll take it myself."
Joy was shocked when she saw the scene.
'Don't you have any morals, Shayne? You're not even sparing minors? She must still be in high school, right?'
Samantha tossed the backpack aside when they stepped into the house. She splayed on the couch and turned on the television.
Shayne tossed the backpack next to the couch and reprimanded her. "Go and do your homework!"
"What's wrong with you today? Why are you so angry?"
Samantha clung to her backpack and timidly ran into her room.
Their parents had passed away when they were very young. Shayne was not only an elder brother to Samantha but also carried the authority of a father.
After all, Samantha depended on him for her allowance.
Samantha sighed dejectedly. She had to behave according to her elder brother's mood.
After Samantha went into the study room, Joy asked, "Why did you bring me here, Shayne?"
'Don't tell me that you're really planning for a threesome?'
Shayne furrowed his brows and ordered, "Aunt Jade took the day off and no one is making dinner. Stay back and help with that."
'I don't mind helping out with dinner, but…'
Joy stretched out an open palm. "It's ten thousand bucks every time I help you make dinner."
Silent, the corner of Shayne's eye twitched.
'Are your hands made of diamonds? Does it cost ten thousand bucks to prepare a meal?'
Joy smiled when she saw how he did not respond. "If you think that's too expensive, then I'll be on my way."
Just when Joy turned around and prepared to leave, Shayne grabbed her wrist and stuffed a bank card into her hand. "You'll be in charge of this month's dinners."
Joy smiled even more happily. "Since when have you become so generous, Shayne?"
'Indeed, he has been very stingy.'
"You'd better think through this carefully, Shayne. There are thirty days this month, so that means a total of three hundred thousand bucks. Isn't that more expensive than rearing a mis—"
Before she finished speaking, Shayne interjected, "So are you doing it or not?"
"I'll do it!" 'I'll be an idiot if I don't.'
Joy did not want to take advantage of him either. After all, she was in it for the long game. "Since you've so readily agreed to my offer, I'll give you a twenty percent discount, which makes it two hundred and forty thousand bucks a month. I'm not greedy, and I won't let you lose out either."
"…"
'Not even a chef working in a Michelin-starred restaurant could earn two hundred and forty thousand bucks a month, and yet you say you're not greedy?
'You're a good one, Joy.'
"Do you have any allergies, Shayne?"
"No coriander. My sister doesn't eat that."
Joy was surprised but smiled anyway. 'You're so into this roleplaying thing.'
"Why are you smiling?"
Joy shook his head. "You're such a player, Shayne."
"…"
'What are you talking about?'
Soon, Joy went to buy some food ingredients, then went into the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Shayne went upstairs into his study to do some work. Samantha, who was on the first-floor study doing her homework, went to the kitchen to look for a snack.
"Do you have anything good to eat, sister? I'm hungry."
Joy shot a glance at the shopping bags from the grocery store. "There's some fruits and a loaf of bread inside."
Samantha picked out several mangosteens and a box of strawberries.
Samantha leaned on the kitchen counter, eating the fruits while looking at Joy. "What relationship do you have with my big bro?"
Joy's hands under the tap paused. She thought for a while before replying, "That sort of relationship?"
"…"
