Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1059

Soon, it was Chinese New Year’s Eve.

Yanny was packing up, preparing to return to Lushway Town to celebrate with Heather.

It was not until when she reached Heather’s house, and at the mention of Shayne, did she realize she forgot to let Shayne know.

For the past few days, Shayne had been extremely busy. Both of them did not meet each other, so Yanny also forgot to let him know that she went back to the country.

Just as she was about to let him know, Shayne sent a message.

[Where are you? Why are you not home?]

[I’m back at Lushway Town to celebrate Chinese New Year.]

[Why did you not tell me? When are you coming back?]

Initially, Yanny decided to go back for eight days later, but upon sensing Shayne’s unhappiness, she replied, [Six days later.]

Shayne sat on the sofa at the Blue Water Residential Area house. He was inexplicably annoyed. He thought that they could celebrate the Chinese New Year’s Eve together, yet she left already.

He previously thought of having dinner with Samantha and Old Master Jinn at his old house, then bring Samantha over to celebrate the Chinese New Year together with Yanny and her grandma.

After replying to Shayne’s message, he did not reply back for more than 10 minutes.

Heather noticed Yanny staring at her phone, and she asked, “Are you messaging Shayne?”

“He’s not replying. I think he’s angry at me.”

Heather smiled and said, “Then head back to the city earlier. You have nothing to do here anywhere.”

“I spent very little time with you previously when I was out shooting so it’s rare that I can spend a little more time with you during the New Year. The boyfriend can wait.”

Heather was at an old age. Yanny was afraid that Heather might pass away before she could take care of her.

A few days before the Chinese New Year’s Eve, Shayne looked like he was in a fight with her, as he did not send her a single message.

It looked like he was really angry.

It was until the morning of the eve of Chinese New Year when Yanny woke up early to help Heather with the laundry that she sent Shayne a greeting, [Master Shayne, Happy Chinese New Year’s Eve!]

On that day, Shayne slept until noon. He was having his meal and saw the message when he turned on his phone. He harrumphed and muttered, “Oh so you still know how to wish me personally.”

Samantha looked at her brother’s cold look and asked curiously, “Are fighting with Yanny?”

“Little kid, why do you keep hoping I end up with a fight with her?”

Samantha stuck her tongue out and said, “You have such a bad temper that you’ll get angry at the smallest things, so won’t fighting with your girlfriend be a normal thing for you?”

Shayne glared at her coldly. “Do I have a bad temper?”

“It’s… quite… bad.”

“Okay, don't ask me for living expenses at the beginning of the school year then. Since you’re so capable, go do a work-study program then."

Then, Shayne pushed his plate away, took his phone, and went upstairs.

Samantha smashed the egg on her plate to mush. “You miser! You’re a cheapskate! Not only that, you’re not only petty but you also like to get angry easily too!”

It was two in the afternoon. The staff at the Jinn mansion started getting busy. They decorated the mansion’s window with red paper. Samantha took some glue and started messing around as well.

The atmosphere downstairs was lively.

Shayne laid in bed with his legs crossed. He was about to reply to Yanny’s message coldly, when out of a sudden, his phone rang. It was from an unknown number.

Shayne thought that it would be a scam caller so he rejected the call. The same number called back again.

He picked up. “Hello?”

A gentle, middle-aged lady’s voice came through, “Shayne, it’s me. Your mother.”

Shayne grabbed his phone and was silent for a long time. He did not respond.

On the other side, Maria said slowly, “Happy Chinese New Year’s Eve, Shayne.”

Shayne’s face became ice cold. He pursed his lips, not saying a word.

Maria took a deep breath. She knew that Shayne did not want to deal with her, but she carried on, “Shayne, I’m back in the country. I want to see you. When we can meet up? Also, Samantha as well. Can you bring her to see me? I’ve not seen her since she has grown up.”

Shayne sneered. How dare she mention Samantha? Was she not afraid that Samantha would know the terrible things she had done?

Maria pleaded, “Oh, I won’t say that I’m her mother. I just wanted to see her from afar. Shayne. I really… miss you two.”

Shayne’s lips twitched. He sneered sarcastically, “If you knew better, why would you have done it in the first place? We don’t need to meet up. Also, don’t you dare appear in front of Samantha, if not, don’t blame me for being impolite.”
