Spring had scheduled a laid back travel show for Yanny in March.
The show, 'Interesting Adventures' had no ending and such a reality show like this was produced by a well known TV host named, Ramona Dickerson. There were speculations about this show being buried by the TV station due to financial problems and it being a reality TV show. Thus, it took awhile for approval and was only green lighted this Spring.
Spring told Yanny that a slow paced reality TV show like this was suitable for her and her career path. Not to mention, Yanny seemed more exhausted than usual from all of the sponsors and work she had been given. Taking part in the filming of a travel show like this could be a way for her to enjoy life and grow. This assignment would be perfect for her since she would be able to travel and work at the same time.
Yanny was quite skeptical about the show from the very start since she thought this show would be nothing more than a manufactured reality show that had a script to follow and would also be given dramatic argument scenes in the middle of the shoot. However, she soon realized that this travel show was actually focused on none other than relaxing and enjoying life.
Her skeptical thoughts slowly faded away as she started to enjoy her travels.
The location the team would be flying off to on their first leg would be the southern region of Africa, the Madagascar Islands.
Aside from Yanny being amongst the invited guests, there were also Gideon Jura, Dave and Rayne Hills who were invited as well.
Gideon had always been a well known rock star ever since he started his career till he reached his mid-40s. He only managed to crawl out from obscurity after releasing a hit song. He was dressed casually and was quite the approachable guy as well. He seemed as if he did not belong there at all as he stood out.
Dave on the other hand was always nominated as the best male actor in countless documentaries but he had never won any. It was a good thing and very depressing at the same time.
Rayne started as a singer and was considered an old artist in the entertainment industry. However, it seemed that he never had a successful project before. He was famous and also someone obscure at the same time. Thus, he was in a very embarrassing position at the moment.
Yanny on the other hand was nothing more than a newbie. Aside from the recent well received film she starred in, and her status as Larry's Girl, she was still a nobody.
Ramona was joking just how the guest stars in the first season were a friendly bunch of misfits and they did not seem at all compatible with each other at all. However, their personalities fit quite well with a slow paced reality show like this.
The weather in the southern region of Africa was hot and humid. The temperature difference between day and night was extremely huge and the afternoon sun was unbearably hot.
Richard was leading the group as they departed from their country. However, on the very day they arrived in Africa, they ran into trouble.
Since they were all from a different country, they were all detained by customs for twenty-four hours. The reason was that they were suspected of being terrorists or spies due to their camera and filming equipment they brought along with them.
Ramona furiously contacted the embassy for help.
They all felt helpless and afraid when they were all being detained at the airport.
Even though Ramona was the leader for the trip, she still had to do her best in comforting everyone despite being afraid herself.
The cameras and filming equipment were all temporarily confiscated by the airport staff but their cell phones were not.
In order to ease the terrifying atmosphere, Ramona asked in a playful tone, "If we're actually being held captive here and aren't able to leave, who would you guys call if you were only allowed one phone call? Who would you guys ask for help?"
Gideon fished out his phone and jokingly said with a leveled mind, "I'll call my family and have them think of a way to save me."
Dave said, "Me too I guess, I don't want to die."
Rayne then said, "I want to call to make amends with someone that I've lost due to my stubbornness since I never had the chance to apologize to that person. If I truly feel that I am actually going to die, well, I have to make amends no matter what before I die since I don't want to perish with regret."
Gideon smiled as he looked at Rayne before saying, "It seems to me that this person is very important to you. You'd actually give up your only phone call to apologize to someone?"
Rayne laughed as he said, "Don't I still have you guys? Well, since you guys have all made your phone calls, it doesn't really affect me that much if I don't make a phone call for help now, right?"
As the few of them were locked in a small room, their cheerful and laid back laughter had somehow eased the tension.
Ramona asked, "What about you, Yanny? Who will you call? Don't tell me you’re going to call for help because both Gideon and Dave would have done that already."
Yanny felt bullied, so she playfully said, "Why do I feel like my question is somehow rigged?"
Ramona winked and said, "Because you're young so we're bullying you."
Gideon said, "I think you're the youngest among us. We're all uncles and aunties now."
Yanny remained silent for a brief moment as she scrolled through her phone and finally paused for a moment when she reached Shayne's name.
